YM -Good Luck with the charges;)

smiley - Sorry you're down sweetie,I know it's not easy at the moment and I completely understand why you would consider taking the IVA route too!!
Sometimes it all gets really crap and the DFD can seem a long way away, but we do not know what the future holds and that date could possibly be here a lot sooner than you think.
I have reduced my DMP already by 16 months just with extra payments of £26 a month. I never dreamed I would get it to under 10 years but it is now, so stay strong and hang in there! What ever you decide you are absolutely not allowed to leave me!!!!!

Hope everyone else has had a good day, the weather here has been gorgeous today and that always makes me feel better!:T

    Evening all.

How are we all tonight. Very balmy and positivly Bali down souf tonight. Hope it is the same where you are.

Interesing about the bank charges. It is surprising when you add them all up.

kelly and smiley. Whatever you decide(and it is only you who can know this) I hope you do not desert us as you will be sorely missed by everone on here. I dilly dallied with an IVA then decided that a DMP was the best course for me. At least for the time being. As teecee says you do not know what is around the corner and by paying a little extra(if you have it) can drastically reduce your sentence :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . It may seem a long time but i can assure you as you get older the time flys:eek:

My plan is to continue with the DMP until it is paid off. Seems a long time but it will soon be here. You always have the option ,if it gets to you, to change to an IVA at a later date. That door is always open. Good luck.

    Hi again!

Sorry, I hate being all doom and gloom, especially when others need cheering up. I think I'm feeling bad too because I was supposed to be going down south to visit my old friends this weekend. It has been planned for months, lots of activities etc. Was really looking forward to it, then I couldn't afford the petrol money. I feel so ashamed. The are all in the job I used to do so are rolling in money (I would've been too if I hadn't decided to switch to teaching). I'm not looking for sympathy, as it's completely my fault, but just needed to get off my chest how much I feel this debt is hindering me living my life. At 25 I shouldn't been staying in EVERY night because I can afford to go out! No chance of meeting my Mr Darcy at this rate - unless he's on here - ha ha! Aaaargh, must stop moaning, must stop moaning, must stop moaning...

I agree Ex, cramming works for me too. Wish I had exams to cram for in my masters, it's all essays and I'm pants at them! What is your masters in? Did you enjoy it? I might have to delay the next year of mine cos I can't afford the fees - what a surprise!

Thanks for the kind works teecee - you always make me smile. Don't worry, I'll still be on here even if I win the lottery, you guys keep me sane!! Glad you've had some lovely weather.

I will be back later in a much better mood - that's a promise :T

    Hi YM :hello:

Thanks for the words of encouragement - they really help. It's funny, I was saying exactly the same thing in another post when encouragement someone to consider the DMP! Sometimes it's easier for me to give advice than take it.

Hope you have a lovely night :)

    smiley.

We all have down days dont worry. I feel crap sometimes when i think i am at the time of life(44) when i should have loads of money and my struggling days are behind me.Not ahead. If you dwell on things to much it can get you down so try not too. When i split up with my EX i kissed goodbye to £130,000 equity that was in the house. That gets me down but at the end of the day it was my choice and i have to live with that. Now i am dwelling on things. Should listen to my own advice.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . Still my partner(27) keeps me young so musn't grumble;)

    Hope you feel better soon

Teecee I did it in Management. Each of my modules had an exam and 2 assignments and then there was the dissertation at the end. I didn't mind it to be honest. It was difficult at times juggling it around kids and work but I got there in the end. With assignments I always started them at midnight and gave myself 3 hours to do them. I never did any worse than those who worked at them for weeks.

I would love to be a teacher but as I don't have a GCSE Grade C in maths I can't enrol for a PGCE. :rotfl:

Smile - I can understand how frustrated you must feel - what a bummer! Hope you feel a bit better soon xx

I do pigsback, itsyourview, lightspeed surveys, freefivers, brainjuicer, american opinion panel, ipsos access panel, ciao, mum's opinions, valued opinions, GFK media (was invited through another survey), ipoints, mutual reward points, home of research and yougov. Phew! No wonder I spend so long on the comp!

YM- I agree that it does go quickly and I'm quite young :rotfl: but those bank charges will make a good dent into your dfd, won't they.
