Hi guys, just popping on v quickly.
Thanks hunteress - one last questions (you have no idea how useless I am at this kind of stuff!)... do I dab up the liquid stuff after the 10 mins, then let it dry? Or do I just leave it after I've applied it until it dries the next day? Thanks for this - I owe you a drink at the reunion!! xMember #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

I think that's a great thing for using it on! I reckon that it's the best thing to use it for and it stops needing to use any other monies for it!CCCS DMP:Feb 07

Good morning
Did everyone enjoy the football ???
rayday Sorry to hear about MIL. Hope she hasn't caught anything nasty like MRSA. Do you have any relatives you could stay with? As MIL is in hospital could you stay at her house?
dlb After reading you have successfully reclaimed charges whilst on DMP I have decided to go through CC statements today and work out charges. I reclaimed charges from Barclays but this was just before my DMP. Did you also claim interest?Make £10 a day challenge: November - £0/£3000 -

Hi all
I'm back and my haven't you all been busy!! Its taken me 3 days just to catch up - and so many new members to our (not so) little club - welcome one and all!! Thanks for mentioning me Smile etc its comforting to know I'm not forgotten. The new site looks good but will take some getting used to - although with my frequent visits I'm sure it will soon become familiar!
Things are not good for me I'm on a real downer - which I feel incredibly guilty about cause its all self inflicted!! We've just had a cheapy few days away to Filey/Scarborough in the tourer (lovely area never visited there before recommend it to everyone!) so I should be feeling refreshed and renewed instead I'm feeling seriously grumpy!!! Have spent all my student money on god knows what in just a matter of weeks - no excuses just no lessons learnt!!! So seriously skint for the forseeable - feel a spending diary coming on - I really am completely useless with money when I have it I always feel it will last forever - exactly how I got to this stage in the first place  - god I feel useless!!! Less of my self-pitying rants - sorry!
Anyway the 8 weeks were up for HSBC (re bank charges) last week and have heard nothing so now got to get my ar** in gear and sort out the court thing which I'm dreading but it has to be done they owe me over £2,000 and it will clear the o/d and some off the loan too!! The Abbeys time is up next Wednesday so no doubt I will have to go through it all again with them too  wish I could be one of the lucky ones and it all be straight forward -oh god self pitying mode again -oops!!
My HSBC CC has been referred to DCA so must post that off to CCCS and its not on my online banking anymore plus they've stopped interest etc :j so at least thats positive.
To top it all I have a review with CCCS on Thursday, my first and just don't know what to expect.
And finally (honest) my first exam is this Thursday and I've done so little revision I'm scared half to death! Will tackle that one asap cause if I fail its only me to blame.
Sorry this has been a rant - I have missed you all and do try to be positive but recently things have got me down - will get over and on with it eventually.
Take care, love and hugs
IDA

Oh IDA - massive hugs to you - it's not too late to get your head down and do some serious revision - break it all down today and make a little list of what you can do when. I know how exams can add to the stress and make everything much worse.

Hi
Hello again ida. Sorry you are a bit down. Hope things improve with you shortly. Good luck with the exam Thursday. Fingers crossed for you:D
Well I got my statements back from Natwest today so I have gone through and totalled charges etc. Letter done and ready to send off:T
Comes to £875. Let you know how that one goes.
Lovely down here today and the kids are in the garden on the bouncy castle. Work for me again later so will catch up then as I should be nice and quite:j
Speak to you all soon and have a great weekend.

Hi guys,
Sea - you sound like such a fun mum!! I'd love to be your daughter and run around in costumes
YM - good news about the bank charges. That would make abig difference to your debt. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on. Oh, and well done on the football last night (did it finish 1-0?).
newlywed - good luck on Monday. I'll be thinking of you.
IDA - Of course you've not been forgotten! You are one of the founding members :T Sorry to hear about the money stress. I am feeling very similarly at the moment and it's hindering my ability to do other things becuase I'm stressing about it. Didn't get out of bed til 2.30pm today... awful I know but I feel so horrendous about the whole situation, so ashamed, I felt like I didn't want to get up (coupled with the fact that I have so much school work to do!). Anyway, try not to think of it just now and get your revision head on. Hard, I know. Set out a rough timetable. Come back on here if you need some motivation!! Good luck
I'm having doubts over my choice of DMP rather than IVA. After hearing about Kelly choosing to switch and replying to a thread about which is best I really think 15 years repaying almost £27k is such a horrible option, when I could be debt free in 5 years. Of course, I still remember why I went for this option, wanting to repay it all myself, facing up to my responsibilities etc, but it all feels a bit much at the moment. Although, the main reason for sticking with the DMP is so that I stay a member of this group - he he!!
Hope all is well,

Evening everyone
Welcome back IDA. I think I asked about you a couple of days ago. I've been AWOL for a while too but I'm back now. Sorry to hear things are rough at the minute. You'll get through it though. Think how bad we all were a few months back. I had my first review with CCCS last week. I was scared too but it was quite quick and painless. Just open your online budget thing and they go through each of the figures with you to see if it's still relevant. What did happen with me is that the girl told me my child benefit had gone up to £131. I thought that seemed a lot but I didn't argue. I ended up with a surplus of £17 more than I had before. On checking the child benefit is £121 so I've emailed them to say I'll increase my payments to £105 instead of £115. I don't know what course you are studying for but when I did my Degree and Masters I worked solely on the cramming method. I would get up in the morning and stay in my PJs and get stuck in until lunchtime allowing myself an hour for lunch and then straight back into it until 7pm. It always worked for me.
Smile, I don't think we'd evict you if you choose an IVA. :rotfl:
YM nice one on the charges.
Hello everyone else.
I know I keep harping on about Quidco but if you even do the daily searches -Kelkoo, British Shopping, High Street Web and Carsource that will get you 32p per day which £116.80 per year. OK it's not a complete fortune but it will help with something.
Those of you who do surveys which ones do you do? I'm up for making a few quid online at the minute. I have ebayed a lot in the past few months and only have 11 things left to list (when I get motivated)0
