Evening everyone (not that you've all disappeared)

    Welcome to Lu.

Hi Kelly. Welcome back. I read on this site at one stage that CCCS have a sister site called who's lending or something like that and it specialises in mortgages for the likes of us. I've never looked into it. That's part of why I haven't claimed my bank charges as my mortgage is with the Hellifax and I'm scared that they'd somehow demand we go elsewhere. Sorry I will stop mentioning those bank charges one day as I'm sure you are all sick of hearing about it.

Yip all is well. The DMP is just running along nicely. Had a review last week with CCCS. It's good not getting all the calls.

    Evening all.
Reguarding the claiming bank charges, ill tell you my story....(lol)
My biggest creditor is Natwest, i had been on the dmp about 11 months when i started trying to claim back the charges, 2 months later they pay up £1113 which is paid straght into my account so was money off my debt to them, this didnt effect my dmp payments to them and they were really nice when i phoned up to check the payment had gone in ( as i cant get ballance online ect now) was passed to the dept dealing with my dmp and it was confirmed payment had been made.
So after that success claimed back £30 from my Adams store card very easily one letter money refunded to my account.( not alot but every penny and all that)
I am now taking on Natwest credit card who owe me £500 in charges, sent letter today so the race is on again!!!
I intend to claim off every one of my creditors, i have heard nothing about being unable to claim them back anymore, so im getting those letters set out now incase it does change.
Every penny claimed back is another step closer to being debt free.

Hope that answer some of your questions.
    Have a great night all.
    Donna

Donna is your Natwest account still opened and used? I have 2 Hellifax current accounts which are still open and being used. If I claimed my ODs would be cleared and there would be a bit left over. The fear is that they would close the accounts or mess about with the mortgage. I wouldn't have any fear on taking on the other lot ie the creditors in the DMP but in my mind I would need to deal with the nastiest first.

    See you later Kelly.

    Sorry its me again!

Grrrr so annoyed - just had a call from sister in law, mother in law was in hospital this week having knee surgery, on the day she was supposed to be discharged she is really ill, delarius, dehydrated not knowing where she is they think she has some kind of infection and moved her into isolation. Should find out more tonight.

Sounds awful but I am dreading if we have to go up there, we just don't have any money tucked away for the extra hotel costs etc. We have savings for the car but the exhaust is bordering on needing repair so dare not use that fund. We have our Christmas savings for the children but that is all in vouchers so cannot touch that. Also at the end of this month we are supposed to be on holiday (have a lot on ebay at the moment for this)

So feeling totally hopeless, if she really is bad and they are hinting at possible MRSA type thing we need to go and see her - money worries are crap :(

Nice to hear you are able to claim bits back Donna - I suppose I should get my bum in gear and try that a couple of hundred off is a couple off I guess.

Hi my account was defaulted and the ballance from my od and loan added together and they now have one account number that dmp payments get sent to.
So no i cant use my account, but some of my friends have claimed back from active accounts and have had no problem, because if they pay up they are almost admitting that charges are unlawful, and they can not use this against you, they are paying you back money they took from you unlawfully.

Thanks Donna. I will do it one day. I just need to work up the courage. I hope I don't leave it too late.
