Don't work too hard YM - you'll be missed by us DFW Angels!!! (Although I'm not sure the pink and green stripey t-shirts will look quite as sexy as the original angels' outifts, but we could give it a go!!).

    Hellooooooooooooooo teecee :hello:

I'm currently doing lesson-planning and marking avoidance by doing some online surveys. £1.50 a go, not bad! I go through lightningspeed I think, just in case any one fancies it?

    Hi smiley,

DD has just gone to her friends house (she has got chickenpox too) so I thought I would pop in and catch up!

The thread really seems to be moving at quite a pace at the mo, good to see so much great advice being passed on.

My big question for today is................... What do you pay more attention to now than you did before your LBM??

Mine is.............online banking. I check it at least twice a day, pre lbm I used to do it about once a month.

    Online banking
My spending spreadsheet with estimates for the rest of the month (never kept it up for more than a week before - so 5 weeks is a record).
Every penny in my purse!!! :D
How much a "nice" packet of biscuits costs :o
Special offers in the supermarket and whether it works out cheaper.
How many biscuits the kids eat!! :o

And what food ends up in the bin due to expired dates etc ;)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

The poor kiddiewinkles!! Hope they have fun at their party!

Excellent question... clearly I should pay more attention to my online banking. I do check it much more often than before, but got into the whole scary cycle of knowing I'd not been careful this month and therefore was too scared to check it that often and got into a big mess because of it. Slap my wrists for me!

Another thing is food shopping. I need to become much much better at it, but I have been trying. I went today and only wanted to spend £10 and I spent £11.20. The chances of that happening before were virtually none!!

Also, being able to say no to people. E.g. nights out. I've got a friend at school who has to be very careful with her money, so now we've joined forces and are brave together when saying no because we are skint. Someone at work does moan about it, but we defend each other. I can't stand people who judge or assume you are exaggerating about money problems (although maybe I used to be like that... hmm).

So what you going to do with your wee bit of spare time (apart from sit on here - which is all good!)? Pamper yourself? Don't do any more housework!

Here is my question... What one think do you wish you could stop spending money on?

Hmm... I'm glad I don't smoke really. My parents both do - heavily. There money situation isn't great either so they could both do with giving up (and then I wouldn't stress about their health so much!).

Mine is my car. I love it to bits and was very proud when I bought it (and couldn't live without A car), however, I should've been sensible and bought a much cheaper 2nd hand one. It costs me £162pm for 5 years - eek. I though about trading it in, but the finance takes it from cost price of £7k to £10k, so I wouldn't be able to cover the difference and my credit file is shot so wouldn't be able to get another finance agreement :(

Is there anything you would do differently if you could start this process again? (Apart from do it earlier!).
