Thinking on my statement about how this site has helped me, i'm wondering if any of you out there didn't deal with the debts because of a feeling of isolation and shame. On this site no one judges, all members try to offer help and support and I have found that it makes me stronger as I draw strength from others and no longer feel alone!!
very good post, teecee.i never see the point in blame.we can never go back so if we tell peeps our experiences and if they can take anything useful then it makes something good from something bad.
i believe that every experience, good or bad, can teach us something useful and that we take what we need from all the ups and down.when you go thro something awful, you wonder how you will cope ,but when you look back on it ,its only then that you realise that you needed that experience at that time in your life and it makes you stronger.
that was very deep ,wasnt it??hope you get my drift. xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Hi everyone,
I am brand new to this site and I am so relieved that I am not the only one with debt problems (not that I wish debt problems on any of you!). I started a DMP with payplan in February '07 and so far it is working out really well. I just wish I had seen this website sooner and it may have made me go for it a bit faster. It's really great I can finally open my post without nearly passing out and I am actually happy to answer the telephone. So if there's anyone out there still wondering whether a DMP is a good option, take it from me, it really is.
Good luck everyone.x0 -
Hi ILOVE!! Of course you are one of the essential members. P.S. I love your signature tagline.
Sorry I dipped out of the conversation earlier, my bride to be friend was on the phone chatting about the hen night I'm supposed to be planning... me being the one with no funds, oh dear!
Well, I'd better get another load of washing on before an excellent night of tv starts. Speak to you all then x xMember #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

Hi lu_lu Welcome!:D
Glad everything is going well with your DMP, I made my 1st payment to CCCS on 1st March and I can honestly say that I have no regrets at all about starting a DMP. I can finally see the light at the end of my long tunnel and just being able to sleep at night makes it all worthwhile.DEBTS @ 1/1/07 - £25,800:eek: DEBT @ 04/05/11 - NIL

why use one word when i can use several?? i think there will be alot more peeps getting a lbm and can only hope they find a thread like this.its saved my life too!i know i go on alot but i regard you lot as good friends and i havent any, really ,where i am.not close ones that i can discuss my debts with.i do feelashamed cos ive been stupid with money and feel like i could have done better.im an adult, fgs and should have known better.but you see stuff and you wantr it and you really NEED it and you have to keep up with everyone else cos your life wont be complete without it.then i look in the wardrobe at the stuff, never worn.... and the kitchen gadgets that i couldnt live without and used once...and all the rest of the clutter!!!(that advert on telly with the yellow storage place that i relate to so well)
i look at it and think....stupid woman, thats your debt!!was it worth it??
wish i had been stronger, but you dont realise the pressure at the time.People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with
