Hi Just a quick hello don't have time to catch up properly.
Hope everyones post has been kind.
Bit p*****ed off this morning got a default notice from a DCA they reckon last month I did not pay, I wrote to them proving I have with a copy of my bank statement, they wrote back saying yeah its fine but the balance did not reflect that payment and now this - so grrrr time to grab a DCA company by the balls!
But not while its sunny - save it till the weekend when its bound to tip it down!
Take care promise not to be a stranger next week!

Been on just a bank this am and there has been a suffle of my payment sto creditors but no idea why - it all adds up to the same figure i've paid for 3 months but companies this month have received different ammounts some less some more? Any idea why?
I rang the A&L and I got my nasty letter as they have xcorresspondence from payplan but are awaiting a financial statement from them, I have left a message with payplan and hopefully they will ring me back so I can get themn to fax it off to them and maybe I can ask about the payments differing too if I remember!!
My DFD is NOVEMBER 2021 SHOCK HORROR   these are the debts combined with my OH who has moved out so once house is sold and we split them up not sure how it will alter my DFD as I have approx 3/4 of the debt in my name although we are both responsible don't know how fiar he'll be in paying it off or if he'll just pay off the bits in his name and run,,, I hope not.
Fingers crossed once my WFTC is sorted I can start building my pots up and do another SOA and see what else can be thrown in.
Biy its hot is it due to thunder - my head aches not sure if its the stress or the hotness or the noice of my office aircon!!!0 -
Howdy partners!
Blimey - it's been so busy on here already today, I can't keep up! It's so lovely to have so many nice posts to read through.
Firstly, YM - thank you for making me LOL... I'm loving the thought of you sending your old yoghurt pots to Sea to use a plant pots - ha ha ha - I'm off again!! Sorry to hear about the bad post, aarrrgh! P.S. I'm a BB fan too, so excited about the blokey going in tonight!
Sea - thanks for asking after me. Have you tried the Poundshop places? My Mum gets about 10 for a £1 (obviously!) in there.
Ally - hope you get better soon petal. Sorry to hear about your creditor not accepting the DMP. Let us know how you get on with the CAB.
Teecee - hello my lovely :hello: Enjoy the housework. I'll PM my address so you can start on mine just in case you run out - he he!
toasti - good luck with the HSBC. I know what you mean about not telling your parents, I'm in the same boat. I've hinted that I've got problems so they don't think I'm covering anything up when I'm not able to pay for all the usual stuff, but not the whole story. Three years will fly by... not sure about my 14 though!! Keep smiling, you're doing brilliantly.
Rainbow - Halifax are a bleeping nightmare on the phone. They kept calling my parents house (see above!). I was getting soooo many calls also on my mobile, I always answered and they hung up, as the notes obviously popped up saying they'd spoken to me. Eventually I blew a gasket and called through to the debt management whatever dept and demanded to speak to someone senior. The woman who dealt with my complaint (after threatening to go to the FSA and ombudsman thingie-me-bob) set up their acceptance of my DMP there and then on the phone! If only they could've done that weeks ago!! Why don't you give it a go? Good news about MBNA though :T Pass the Natwest credit cards on to me this month... I really need them!
newlywed - brilliant advice there. Glad to hear things are moving on a bit for you. Hopefully the car situation will be sorted asap and things will calm down for you. All my crossable body parts are doing their thing for you
Oh no, I can't remember what people on the previous page said and I don't want to lose all this typing to go back (I could of course cut and paste but I haven't got the energy to do all that fancy stuff just now!). I'll have a guess...
dlb - brilliant news about your charges!!! You are such an inspiration. Thanks so much. You make me see what life can be like in a few months once everything is up and running. Good luck with it all.
Ex - hello :hello: I think you asked about the charges with DMP creditors? It sounds like it's all okay. I'll be reclaiming very soon from Hellifax. I'll let you know how I get on (although they've already closed my account, so I'm in a slightly different boat).
lonely - how are you? Sorry to hear things haven't been going brilliantly with your DMP. Come on here and have a rant, that's what we are here for. Take care.
ILOVE - how is it going? It's me being the total chatterbox today!
hunteress - How's you? I've bought some clear washing up liquid now (was too scared to use the green or blue stuff we had so had to wait for it to run out before buying the clear stuff, ha ha!). So do I put a little bit on a sponge, rub it in until it foams, then sprinkle lots of salt over it? Then wait til it dries? Hoover it? The stain is massive now due to earlier failed attempts. Oh god, I can't remember now and no idea where you're original advice was!!!!
Joek - absent, but never forgotten! Hello to you too, just in case you come on here for a browse. Hope all is well and something awful hasn't happened.
IDA - How are you pumpkin? Are you the mysterious dreamer? I think so - well done to whoever it was who guessed you if so (sorry, it's on the other page so can't find out!). Hope you are well and the studies aren't too arduous.
Oh no, I think that's all I can remember. Sorry if I've missed anyone out, it's not personal - just my gold fish like memory!
Anyway, on with my questions to the expert panel.... My housemate said she heard something on the news about no longer being able to reclaim bank charges... eeek! Any ideas? I'll look it up later when I've got a minute. Also, what should I do about not having a cheque book to pay for the £10 bank statements
I've got mixed news today. All my creditors have accepted my DMP -wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah, sorry, don't have anyone else to tell (well, no one who will understand what a big deal this is). I'm well chuffedWish there was a doing summersaults smiley!
On the other hand, I got my first default through - from Cahoot - booooooo. It will be applied in 2 months. So at least 6 years til I can get a mortgage then, sniff sniff.
Also, I'm being hammered by my new bank for going into unauthorised overdraft and unpaid DDs. It's a bit scary because I have no credit cards to fall back on. I've put all my cash in and it's being swallowed by the charges. And still got the actual DDs to pay!!! Think I'll need to ride the storm this month and get myself more sorted next month (although that's going to be mega mega expensive due to various things, cry cry).
I will get about £400 of tax back in a couple of months, then £400 or so for exam script marking and a teacher's golden hello. All of this is brilliant, but I need it now. I'm worried that my new bank won't be patient and will kick me outDo you think I should call them and explain my situation? Tell them it's hard at the start of the DMP and I haven't had a chance to set up an emergency fund etc, but will in the near future? Help!!
Blimey, just looked at how much I've written!! Better stop and make some lunch
Speak soon,

Hi itsalldrivingmemad - sorry, our posts must have crossed earlier, so sorry for not mentioning you!
That's a bit odd about the different payment amounts... I know some of mine don't match what Payplan say on the website thingie, but it all adds up to the same amount and as far as I'm aware they get the same amount each month. I'd definitely call and ask. Let us know how you get on.
We have almost the same DFD!!! :T :T :T

Had no joy with the cab the phone was constantly engaged anyway decided to walk down there and was hoping that someone would see me, the door was locked but there were people in there. I rang the bell and a man came to the door and said I wouldn't be able to be seen due to staff shortages.
He said your best bet is to come down monday morning and wait to be seen so I will have to go down I asked him if I could make an appt but apparently not. So I hope I feel ok to go.
Do you think they would just help me with the two creditors because I have sorted out the other five I hope so.
Ym have a good day at work, glad you sorted it out with payplan
Smilealot thanks hun not sure about the bank charges question and well done on your creditors accepting your dmp I am really pleased for you :j

Hi Ally,
Sorry to hear that it didn't work out with the CAB. What a nightmare. Is there another office nearby you? I know I have three within a reasonable distance. Perhaps the others would be quicker to see you? Worth a call? Here is the weblink: http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/index/getadvice.htm#searchbox
I'd definitely mention that you are unwell. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for the kind wishes!

Rainbow I'm with Barclays and 2 with GE. Barclays were fine. No hassle from them at all. GE were a bit of a nightmare sending me a letter per day and they are the hardest people to phone. They did both agree to the DMP though and they transferred it to a DCA.
Toasti I just sent Egg a print off. Make sure yours has your whole credit card number written on though as mine didn't (few digits missing) and I had to resend.
Smile well done on getting them all on board.

Hmmm... this differing amounts thing is a bit concerning. If either of you get to the bottom of it, could you let us know? I'm worried that it might be happening to me too but I haven't yet noticed it.
Thanks for raising the issue and good luck with itMember #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335
