Just read back about your FIrst National and it is confusing!
A lot of my accounts have defaulted and they have accepted payments after and suspended interest or referred onto a DCA. What sort if any communication have you had from First National?0 -
I have no contact with them. I move 6 months after the DMP was set up and hear nothing in that time. I has nothing to do with interest & charges this has been going on for almost 2 years now. I have only just found out by checking my credit file.0

I feel that it is a DCA now and that I will owe £1000s0

hi all,

have not foned, tbh, cant face the hassle of telling em the same old, same old, so have written to say cccs will contact them/,no fone calls,/accept my fiver or take me to court cos youll get no more/am ill.......so we will see how nasty or nice they are.
have been on dmp since march but does get me down knowing i still owe loads and will take me years, 20!!!!to repay.its at times like these that id go bankrupt and only thing stopping me is owning home.see, theres always something to be said for renting, i suppose!!!!

We found the letter confirming fixed payments for the next 175 installments ( 13 years worth _pale_), is it worth sending a copy to the other creditors as leverage? We've got to tell one we can't increase payments and I'm afraid they might get teasy. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

btw, have had dealings with first national.depending when your debt began, they use the 78 rule thing, that allows them to continue to add interest on the balance of a ccj awarded and they are waiting for me to repay my ccj so they can chase me for the interest and i cant do s*d all ...but itll take me years to pay the ccj at £2 a month so ill prob be dead b4 its done.
all depends on which dca they sell your debt to.i had 2 a/cs, which went to 2 diff dcas.one was really good and offered a much reduced f+f but the other brought the ccj and are a pain.think they are asset link but its been going on for years since about 1996 so i might owe as much as the ccj again.
have set up a £2 s.o. prob forever so were at stalemate.People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

With me they're not adding interest. They are doing NOTHING to my account, it's like my money is going into an account they no longer use, closed my account and haven't told me.

Hi everyone i haven't posted on here for a couple of months
I am after some advise really if any one can help please. The problem is me and my partner are currently in a DMP with CCCS and are experiencing difficulties with a few creditors. One being NORTHERN ROCK and another FIRST PLUS, NR have taken my partner to court (issued a CCJ) and have recently applied for a charging order against our property. Fortunately the unsecured loan isn't in my name and reason we missed a payment on the CCJ was due to a redetermination hearing. Anyway First plus have now set the solicitors on to my partner and i think MBNA (another creditor) are going to start making waves for me.
I have just gone to Charcol querying a re-mortgage and they are calling me back to go over more details. We are currently with NR with our mortgage, the package is great and we have never missed a payment. But even though were on this DMP with CCCS we feel we are sinking further and further and see re-mortgaging as a last resort. I have wrote a letter to the judge prior to the charging order hearing expressing concerns as joint holder of my property.
I don't know if re-mortgaging is the best idea as deep down i don't want to switch but if we can get more money by re mortgaging and paying off the pesky creditors it may be a fresh start to tackle the smaller remaining debts and pay our new mortgage. At present i am suffering mentally as a result because it feels like one thing after another so i don't know if my judgment is a bit clouded if you understand
Sorry but i am confused and would like to hear from some wise members pleaseeeeeee
