I got an email back but it was a strange automated type reply that didn't answer what I asked, and basically asked me to call them if I still has issues.. So I bit the bullet and called them from a quiet room in work (Not keen on talking to people on the phone about this as I get all confused and in a mess lol).. Anyway, must admit the guy was really nice and friendly!
He said I didn't need to send the written balances from creditors that I was waiting for. Just to send the balances I got on the phone with any ref/account numbers. Yay
He said if I got it back quickly I could still start September, but I opted for an October start date... he said just to send token payments for Septembers payments, which is fine, and means I can save up a bigger emergency fund.

Since I last posted on here I have set up a new bank account (cash card only that allows direct debits and standing orders), cancelled all my direct debits and standing orders from my Lloyds current account and set up my standing orders at Nationwide and phone up the relevant company's that I had direct debits with and told them my new bank details.
I also had to contact the benefit agencies and let them know my new bank details. So far things are going smoothly with the change over and both of the standing orders have come out of the new account and my child benefit was paid into the new account this morning.
I sent off letters that I printred out from the National Debtline website to all my creditors with an I/E. I have had one letter from Lloyds TSB this morning which said :-
Dear .........
Your Lloyds TSB loan account number ************
Thank you for your letter advising us of your present financial difficulties.
Lloyds TSB have specialist staff available to discuss you situation and are here to help. You can call us direct on 0800 *** **** (8am to 7pm Monday to Friday ;8am to 5pm on Saturday). Please have to hand details of your income and expenditure.
Yours sincerely

This seems to be a nice letter. I was expecting to go through a lot of trouble after reading of other people's experiences with them.
Do I phone them or write to them. They have already had my I/E as it was with the letter I sent them.

Hi all
I've just started a DMP with CCCS and i'm really worried about filling in my creditors notification of DMP forms because when it comes to filling in a reason for my debt, I just don't really have a good one. I haven't been made redundant or got divorced or had an accident or anything like that.
Over the last 7 years I've just been indisciplined with my available credit on various credit cards where I had been given far more than my yearly salary in credit (i'm not passing the buck, I spent it, nobody forced me) and half of my debt is through changing career and going back to college which I had to fund, moving house and having to buy a vehicle to get to work as I work night shifts and irregular hours.
I've only been paying the minimum on my credit cards for years and for the last 6 months I've had to transfer funds from my credit cards to my current account to stay afloat. Finally this has tipped my finances over the edge. I've never missed a payment or had a ccj so my credit history is good but high risk.
Has anyone else been in my position-without a good reason for their debt but been successful in getting creditors to stop or lower the interest payments? I just don't know the best wording to explain my situation any suggestions would be much appreciated.:o0 -
You do have a good reason you have financially overstretched yourself and you are definately not alone eventually it catches up with us all.0
