    hi
    itsnowtime
i sent token payments to creditors before my first dmp payment.
i sent £5.00 for each creditor but you can send as much as you wish some send £1.00. I send the same to every creditor and i sent this with the notification from cccs.
    hope this helps.
remember if you do send too much then you may struggle with your first dmp payment as the first month i found is always difficult until you get use to the budget.
    hope it all works out.
    thanks

    Good morning everyone

I was at work yesterday so housework today. Hopefully it will stay dry as I have got lots of washing.

Went shopping at Tescos last night and am pleased to say it cost £35 as I had quite a few things in the cupboard to make use of.

I am counting the days to payday this month. Only 3 to go! Have got an extra £160 before tax this month for overtime so that will help.

Have had a good sort out this week. There is a secondhand childrens shop near me so think I will take childrens clothes, toys etc to sell there rather than on Ebay this time. Have also got some for charity shop and some for OH to take to the dump.

Itsnowtime Like Bowz,I also sent £5 to all my creditors (regardless of how much I owed each creditor) with the notification letter. I was advised by CCCS not to send too much because the idea is to send them a small token amount which enables you to get your finances into order before DMP begins.

Bowz You are meant to notify CCCS when an a/c is transferred to make sure your money gets to the right place. However, Mercers is part of Barclaycard (they use same reference numbers) and when my a/c was being handled by Mercers (when I couldn't make monthly payments prior to being on DMP with CCCS) I still paid using Barclaycard payment slips. Funnily enough when I started DMP my a/c was passed back to Barclaycard. I must say I found Mercers easy to deal with.

loubielou Most of my creditors stopped interest and charges immediately and the others stopped after receiving 2nd DMP payment. I don't know how Payplan work as I am with CCCS but I haven't been notified of interest etc being stopped from CCCS I have just worked it out on receiving statement from creditors. I believe YM is with Payplan. Hopefully he might pop along later and be able to help you.

    Speak to you all later.

Just thought id pop on and say hello, its a while since i posted, as some of you may read had a crisis big style, as the council decided to inforce the eviction court order that i had suspended about 12 months ago, which ment i was given a eviction date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But some how last week i made the final payment and cleared all arrears plus court costs so eviction is now canceled and court order void !!!!!!!!!
It was a hard 4 weeks we managed to food shop on £35 quid a week and threw every last penny we had at the debt, and so how we clear over £1000 in 4 weeks!!!
It was the one debt i couldnt get on top of but now its gone and i can now mantain current rent easily without worrying about arrears.

On dmp front everything going smoothly ( which you would hope for after 19 months!!) only hicup is my halifax credit card statment came yesterday and they has started applying interest again, they were one of the first to stop interest and the balance has dropped loads over the past 19 months, so just need to contact dmp company and ask them to renegociate interest with them.
Have a feeling it is because they were asking for £35 a month and dmp were sending them £77 so they must think we are doing ok so lets stick the interest back on.

Hope you are all ok, having the kids at home is stressful especially when all 4 of them just wont stop arguing!!! But hey on 6 weeks to go and counting and my youngest goes to school full time and ds1 starts secondary school.
And i will have all day to myself, which im sure ill just spend making lists and working out bills and Debts!!LOL

dlb Hi donna, So pleased to hear everything worked out okay for you. Well done on clearing £1000 in 4 weeks :T As you say, now that's gone you can manage monthly rent. A similar thing happened to me in April with council tax arrears. Once the letter arrived with a court date I somehow managed to find the £550 within 2 weeks. Its amazing what we can do when the pressure's on. Sorry to hear Halifax have started charging interest. Take care.

Thanks Dreamer999 for your advice (just wondered did you start your dmp with cccs recently as i am on payment 2 and only one creditor has accepted (out of 12) and also the others are saying they have no details to accept. I have contact cccs loads about this and they said they will resend the details. None have stopped any interest or late payment charges yet. I suppose it depends which creditors you have but as i have quite a lot you would think at least some receive this. I will ring cccs Monday and tell them about mercers.
Hope everyone else has a good day today I have a 2 days off work next week with children being on holiday, will be catching up on the housework i think.
Lots of things gone wrong in the house atm my fan oven is on its last legs. Dishwasher pump gone (i can cope with that though until have the money saved) Car exhaust blowing so will walk everwhere until pay day!!! hubby can get this done cheaper at garage they use for work. Seems like the minute i started dmp every appliance was waiting to go wrong. never mind my hob still works and i have a microwave and grill still, and i can wash up with my hands again.(only had dishwasher 2 years anyway. The walking will burn up some calories without the car i am trying to see a positive in every thing. (thats what i tell myself)
Hope you all have a peaceful sunday (i got a few calls from creditors last sunday and was not impressed)
    take care all
    bye for now

    Hi all

Pikeygirl I have been with CCCS since April and my DFD is 2013. I know what you mean it does seem like forever.

Valley Sorry to hear weather is lousy where you are. It is actually quite nice here today. I have managed to get 3 loads of washing dried. Only trouble now the ironing pile is a mountain!!!!

Bowz I started my DMP on 1st May. Some of mine didn't let me know they had accepted. In the end I called them myself to find out. I have 9 creditors - Barcalys loan, Alliance & Leicester loan, Goldfish CC, Barclaycard, Citi Cards, Cap One CC, Great Universal, Studio and Vodaphone. The only one to reject was Barclays loan and they have transferred debt to a DCA but I haven't heard from DCA as yet. Great Universal and Vodaphone have since transferred debt to DCA's. (Moorcroft and Capquest)

    hi all,
quick call.welcome to all the new posters.
letter from my big cap1 a/c(have 2, owe £3150 and £1350),they accepted straightaway but now the big cap1 a/c said that have 1 month to catch all payments up and resume my a/c as before, but if i cant, then keep sending the dmp payments, but they wouldnt be sending a monthly statement ,but that would be only diff.
ds is now at home for 6 weeks(oh what joy!!)am afraid the attitude really seems to kick in when they go to "big" school, so you have been warned!!
trying to dry the washing outside cos this is the nicest day weve had for a while.fingers crossed.
have heard bad reports re capquest and reading between the lines, id either ask for a supervisor or be as offensive back, if you get called.dont usually take that stance ,but they are so awful to deal with(hearsay, i know)but on another thread, they were threatening someone.he got advice from on here and basically, thet will do or say anything, legal or full of doo doo, to get you to pay.as soon as they deal with someone who knows the law and recites or writes it back, they scuttle back under their stone.
hope all goes well for everyone.
re the dane....been too wet to let him in the garden so i dont know if hes learnt the lesson or is just biding his time, cos he aint as green as hes cabbage looking, iykwim.as for the weed digging, am afraid he doesnt discriminate!!!
    dlb.....well done re your house.
anyway, was supposed to be a quick post and ive been lead astray again!!!
    ttfn, love ilgd xx

    morning all
I have advised cccs this morning barclaycard transferred to mercers on one debt. Whilst i was on the phone the gentlemen asked if i had considered other options ie bankruptcy iva (and yes of course i have thanks to these boards)
We were advised on cccs site to go with dmp but it is for about 16 years 5 months, now i know this will change if cirumstances change but in the long term it does seem forever. I really dont want bankruptcy or iva or to lose home with 2 children and we chose the dmp route due to this as well as cccs recommendation online.
Does anyone else have a long term dmp date i feel a bit low now because of this and i was just starting to feel positive again. With a dmp at least you know what you can and cant spend and who knows how long it would have taken to pay the debts anyway if we had not chosen this route, they would have just increased more. I am deeply ashamed of the debt but more proud we are facing it.
My mortgage term as a coincidence is the same term as my dmp so will hopefully be debt free of everything at same time, and still wont be at pension age when i get to it.!!!

bye for now take care call
