Hi everyone and welcome any new members

I haven't posted for a while because it has been so hectic the last 2 weeks (sports day, school disco, leavers service etc etc). It's the first day of the holidays and my DD is already driving me up the wall - talk about attitude on legs. She goes up to Junior School in September so hopefully that will cut her down a peg or two.

Had quite a busy time with DMP - Capquest and Moorcroft. Must admit I find Moorcroft easier to deal with than Capquest. Capquest are so full of their own importance. Who do they think they are????

I am in the process of reclaiming CC and catalogue charges.

    1. Studio immediately refunded me £20 I asked for - I know it's only a small amount but its 4 months worth of DMP payments :T .

    2. I'm still waiting for details of charges from Barclaycard, Citi Cards and Goldfish.

    3. I have heard nothing from Great Universal and Capital One so will be writing the 2nd letter in the next day or so.

I am now going to have a read through to see what's been going.

    Dreamer xx

Hi All, thanks for the welcome.

ILGD - my parents have a dane too and she is lovely. She's a harlequin and thinks she's the queen of sheba.

I'm just trying to work out ways of earning more money every month - even with the 2nd job. realistically I'll only be able to do 2 days a week at that or it'll interfere with my normal job. The mystery shopping sounds good as does the online surveys. I'm off to investigate those.

I wish this bloomin weather would pick up, its really depressing. Where's our summer gone. Just heard on the radio that we're likely to have flooding further south! Yeay! The bottom of our road was flooded this morning but hopefully that'll be it as we're a bit higher at out end.

I do online surveys they become my christmas fund so I don't need to budget Christmas in. So far we have £342 in high street vouchers and about £60 in Amazon ones.

    hi all
I received a call today from one of the creditors on dmp and the gentleman on the phone was by far the worst person i have spoken with since starting dmp in June.
He said have not got details etc i repeated politely you have payment and the cccs sent details with payment and if one dept receives this then surely they send it to the correct dept internally.
He replied not necessarily i then said what do they do with it then sit on it or put it in the confidential waste. ? He could not answer. He also said that if he was in that position he would not deal with cccs he would deal with creditors himself. I said well that would be more cost to myself in stamps and calls which in my position i could not afford that. My phone bill already £10 higher then normal since start of dmp.
He also said as i had used account in april why did i do that if i knew what position i was going to be in. I did not answer that but felt like saying the balance was a lot higher last year mate but i balanced transferred to another account. He then wanted to know name of my employer for security and i said i do not want you to call me at work. He said he would put a note on the account to say i was withholding information. I only gave him name not address or tel number. I hope he sleeps at night i for one could not do that job no way even if i had no debts.
On a good note capital one have accepted my plan for about 12 months they said they are letting cccs know. If they have the details what do the other creditors do? I have never had a nasty letter or difficult phone call from the either.
I had a call from Lloyds about my loan and account and the man was really nice (nothing like the lloyds credit card calls) he said they have not yet received income and expenditure, but he advised me to go into branch and they will forward this for me and change the type of bank account to reduce charges on type of account i have. (so quite positive).
Default in the post today as well from goldfish. Does anyone know if defaults may mean they are sending you to debt collection agency? i had default after one month late from one creditor?(Ge money)
sorry for the long post but feel better for getting off my chest.
    bye for now
    take care call

    Good morning.

Bowz I had a call like that from Capquest DCA (collecting for Vodaphone) the other day. I must admit other than Capquest all my other creditors have been really helpful. I believe a default is a legal requirement if a creditor wants to transfer your debt to a DCA or take you to court. Most of my creditors have issued defaults but so far only Great Universal and Vodaphone have transferred to DCA. Barclays are going to but I haven't heard from their DCA as yet.

Teecee Nice to hear from you. Glad to hear all is well in "teecee world".

Knotty Good luck in thinking of ways to earn extra money.

Anyway better go as the kiddiewinks are arguing.

    Take care x

    morning all
    hope everyone is okay today
In the post this morning was statement from barclaycard after two months late payment sending them token payment and one payment from cccs, they have kindly put on the statement they have transferred debt to mercers. (I have read up about them on the boards unfortunately) Do i let cccs know about this on Monday?
I also had details from tax credits (we have had no payment for a year at least )overpaid us in 2003 apparently long story, and also will be getting nothing for another year plus+, so not much good news post today.(never mind )

Hope others have some good news in the post today.
    take care all
    bye for now

hi all, hope you are well?

I was just wondering...I am only in month 1 of my DMP. How long on average do you think it takes for all your creditors to stop interest and charges? Mine are Egg, Barclays and Cahoot (Abbey). I've noticed on my Barclays overdraft that payments from Payplan are going in but they haven't stopped interest yet!

Will Payplan let me know in time when my creditors have come on board and stopped interest?

    Thanks
    In debt no more!

    Hi all,

Thanks for all your advise and support, I'm just about to enter into a DMP and I'd love to become an official member of this thread if poss?

I was also wondering if any of you can give me a little advise on my thread below? - In brief DMP starts Sept I'd like to send at least 50% token payment to creditors - do I tell them via a separate letter when I send the Notification of DMP (provided by CCCS)?
