QUite right. General advice is fine but even so it is clear what the companies' names are and what MS companies they use by reading this thread. Time for some pruning before winter?;)

Has anyone done any of the stamp shops recently for Gap? I must say the new surveys are much shorter.:j

One thing I wanted to ask was, whether you can still buy stamps?

It says buy something from the shop, whereas usually there's a whole list of what you can and can't buy, they seem to have scrapped that.

Was just thinking with Xmas coming, it'd be a good time to stock up on stamps and given the current state of Royal Mail, last posting dates will be nearly here:rotfl:

If it is a burger job, as Timmne says, enjoy the moment when asking for the receipt, before hand everything will be normal, then all of a sudden it'll be like the show has just started, and just for you!! I'm sure one of these days when I ask for a receipt a clown will come flying out of the back singing and dancing on to the shop floor :rotfl:

I did my MS on friday night, i was in a party of 9, but got my own seperate bill to avoid confusion.

Trouble is i got a bill, but then never got a receipt for having paid cash afterwards. I have a bad feeling that the bill will not be enough, as it doesn't have transaction number and clerk number which were required. i submitted my findings and raised a query but they never got back to me yet.

at the end of the day, if i don't get paid i will be bummed but this place was somewhere i was going to be anyway. The only thing is the time i spent submitting my results afterwards will have been for nothing.

Still, 'tis a lesson learned if no money earned!!

Hi guys,
I've just been accepted as an assessor for Optimum Contact, but I chickened out of the section where it asked you if you were free for at least 15 hrs a week (possibly 'bulk surveys'?).

I was just wondering if any of you guys had taken them up on that, if you really do spend 15 hrs a week doing that work and if it's worthwhile?

Oh my, nearly passed out then, just managed to snag a GR job - normally they turn up and disappear before my eyes!

I've stopped looking now - they've really fallen in my estimation since the new system - instead of what (I felt) used to be a selective "would you like to do this job" which was a great email every time it arrived, it's now a refresh every 5 minutes ensuring I feel like a complete vulture, just like I do with the other companies!

At least RE have good jobs and GAP have lots of them! GR are just too thin on the ground for me to bother with them IMO....

I'm glad Sampa mentioned bulk surveys - does anyone here work for OC? Are the telephone jobs worth doing? I've read all about them but nothing on the actual rate of answered calls and therefore money in the bank!

I check every now and again and have managed to pick up 7 jobs since Aug which is better than the 4 I completed in the previous 8 months!

Is it just me, but as soon as someone mentions GR - You have to go and look just in case you have missed something? :huh::rolleyes:

Why haven't I got any burger MS yet?! Did some1 say I had to be with them (GB) 2 months? I've done 2 assignments and quite fancy a burger 1! Especially as my local is USELESS! I'd love it if they were useless when I was there, or even funnier - after asking for a receipt they started cartwheeling etc!
