Back again and thank you for the replies.

    Car - £6942.42
    Total to finance £7294.67

He has added £147.71 for the warranty
    And Road tax £175

When my brother asked if he could knock a bit off the price, he said he would tax it for me and it comes with a warranty and he would throw the mats in.

The car is from a Vauxhall main dealer
And stupid of me, I know, I paid a £100 cash deposit

Like I said, I haven't actually seen the car yet. It is being brought down at the weekend.

If the car has something wrong when I view it, can I still back out.

I won't go back alone this time.

When I asked him about the money on top, as the figures didn't add up! he said that's what he meant, not free and I felt stupid for asking, as if it's normal and just don't know how it works.

But he did say he would tax it for me!

And on a nearly new car, for nearly £7000, should there be a 12 month warranty anyway?

I just want a smooth sale and a safe reliable car.

I don't want hundreds knocking off the price, just what he said

And on checking this paperwork, we had agreed 48 months, but the copy he gave me, has 60 months, which I won't accept

And I am supposed to pay another £400 at the weekend

Something is way off here. Did you really negotiate to buy a car for £6942.42? Including tax and mats?

Also what plate is it on? Would give us some idea of warranty left.

Also is it a Network Q car, as I thought they came with a warranty.

Is the deposit £147 or is that the warranty they has chucked in?

Have you spoken to the salesman to clarify all the figures?

WHAT! This is unbelieveable; surely a wind up. Who pays £7K for a car they haven't seen? Did you win the lottery?

    Lots of people these days.

I bought a car for just under £7000 from Scotland, had it delivered to my house in Norwich, the same car locally was nearly £2000 more, was still under manufacturers warranty so there wasnt any issues

    anyway thats off topic
