Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges article discussion Part II

I am also playing a waiting game under the same circumstances but with Lloyds.
Filed with MCOL, Lloyds defended, had notice from Northampton saying that they had defended the whole claim and that there was no need to complete AQ.
That was weeks ago and still heard nothing from the local Court.
Are the Courts just waiting until they have a reasonable number of cases to spend the whole day on these cases now before they allocate hearing dates?
Could I ask for some advice at this point also? Should I be repeatedly informing the bank of the updated interest as this drags on or do I just hit them with the full figure at the hearing date?
Full figure at the hearing date."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

i understand that sometimes things happen and u gota deal with it but at the end of the day its ur finances and your responsibility. Im not saying the level of charges are fair, but to save yourself the hassle in the first place when u know they exist you should be more careful, however i dont know everyones personal situation so cannt make assumptions.
Other peoples taxes?? Unlike you guys who are trying to get yourself out of debt by demanding the banks ( and why is a private company who provides jobs etc less imp than a public body like govt?) give you money back i have to pay it off upon graduation abeit int free and then pay taxes to pay for a maj of u guys on benefits...wonder if i could claim the govt has applied an unlaw charge on me
Oh get over yourself, despite the fact that you are a student, you are showing yourself up to be very judgemental and ignorant.. ooh and lazy with your text speak. You say you are not making assumptions about our situations then go and make value judgements and assumptions that we are all on benefits!!:rotfl:
Instead of trolling on here to get a kick out of baiting decent people, why don't you go and do something meaningful with your spare time, like, oh I dunno, actually study???:rolleyes:Nuts oh Hazelnuts:rotfl:0 -

haha! it wasnt actually my fault, my student loan was delayed by my lea and this was an unexpected event.
well that is not the banks fault why did you not make sure youhad money for such times arising??
do you have a part time job? your outgoings cant be that much surely you could have put some money aside instead of going over at your bank how careless of you why should the bank deal with your inability to budget properly:rotfl:
and just to clarify not "most people" on here are on benefits atall, so be a good boy and stop being horrible to the grownups:p:rotfl: it's all making my head spin!!!!!!0 -

Hello to all,
Thank's to Martin, I too am trying to relclaim my bank charges.
I sent a letter to the HSBC asking for my charges plus interest on the 16th May.
Had a reply on the 22nd May which basically said and I quote " I am looking into the matters you have raised and will contact you with a full response as soon as I have completed my investigations".
Was wondering how any others have found the HSBC in these matters and how long it takes them to reply? Do I give them 28 days to responf from the 22nd May?
My other slight concern is the fact I'm going to be out the country from june 5th - 19th, if they were to make me an offer that say arrived on the 5th how long would I have to make a reply?
Thanks and good luck to everyone in this.

Have a read of the HSBC thread, you'll find a link to it in the Reclaim Help Thread which is in my signature.
thecatlady, the courts are busy they will let you know when they have a court date or need further information.0 -
Hi i dont think you would have much to worry about with going away!!
The best thing to do is to look at all the success stories for hsbc alot of people tend to tell you how long, and what happend on them you will get the information you need by looking on it.
Good luck0 -
Playing the waiting game!
My claim against Abbey is now waiting for a date in my local court. The order for transfer without AQ was made in Northampton on 09 May 2007. I think I am going to be one of the unlucky people who either go to court or have to wait until the last minute for the bank to settle (Ihave received no offers whatsoever.)
Does anyone know is there a time limit to waiting for a date or timescale?
The last communication from Abbey was a copy of their defence, does anyone know if it may be beneficial to contact Abbey to ask if they would consider a settlement figure? If so does anybody of a number to call?
Thanks very much to all on this site
