Go through the rigmarole with Barclays but DO NOT agree to a loan or extra borrowing(cos we all know that extra borrowing doesn't lead to long term stability).

  • Hi,

    Can anybody help?

Used to bank with The Woolwich but they were taken over by Barclays. Would Barclays still have all my past account information and can I still claim for charges that I paid with The Woolwich?

    Look forward to any help
    Yes you can.

it is will halifax not barclays x x do you mean ring there money team befor asking them for a final response as to why they dont think im in hardship x also i cant get any credit because of the debts ive got so no worry there:p
  • also just thought i would say, got a letter today saying as of 1st of Nov 09 the halifax charges are been reduced, is that not in itself saying that their charges were too high in first place or is it so they get on right side of courts pending the case.

I think that is the reward account which can be in some cases more expensive than at present but I think it is a bit of jostling to be honest.

With regards to the latter part of the post, yes I think you need a final response from HALIFAX ;) and might be worth seeing what their money management team has to say.
