My husband claimed for the amount already paid which is the £370 they are offering but he asked for the overdrawn amount to be wiped clean as like i say they are bank charges but they just ignored his request.0 -

If he has claimed £370.00 and they have offered £370.00 then I don't understand why the bank should zero his account?
You sure he has claimed everything?0 -

Yes as far as i am aware he has. The £370 are charges already paid where as the £430 are charges he hasnt paid.
I dont know alot in regards to bank charges, I thought that any bank charges paid are reclaimable. So to me i would think that once the £430 is paid then he would be able to reclaim them?0 -

Okay then, Thank you. He shall reclaim the amount later then.
Can anyone see where i am coming from when i say i am a little confused and annoyed at how this is going to work.
As, if my husband paid the £450 overdrawn amount off without the £370 they are reclaiming then he would be entitled to £720 but instead they are reclaiming £370, paying it back in to the overdrawn amount (£450) and then if he reclaims hes going to receive the £430(hopefully) he will be losing out. Hes just giving them his money in a sense.
Can you see what i mean?0 -
hi my girlfriend has recently been charged again by abbey for being overdrawn they have done this many times in the last 7 years totaling to around £1100 we both use her account for income and outgoings and have now opened a new account with barclays were both on benifits now and have a new baby on the way do you think we might be eligble for a hardship claim and if so is there a guide on the site like there is with the normal reclaim guides or can anyone help us get started.
kindest regards

OK,sorry I misunderstood. Can we just start again:
1. Have you made a list of all the charges you've incurred since July 2001?
2. How much is that total?
3. When you wrote to the bank, how much did you claim for?0
