Ok i sent off mt frist letter giving 14 days didnt hear a thing. Sent off letter number 2 giving 14 days saying id take them to court if they didnt deal with it as its a hardship case again didnt hear anything. So i rang the bank asking what was going on was told the manager was dealing with it and would ring me the next day. So i waited for the call from the bank it didnt come (whats new) Then this morning i got a letter thanking me for my claim haha and that they would be in touch by the 7/04/09 with an outcome on it. FINGERS CROSSED.

Thing is i give 14 days in my last letter this will make it over 30 if i wait to the 7/04/09

so sould i write back saying thats to long?

    or

sit it out to the 7th and see what happens?

  • My partner has an account with Lloyds TSB, who are currently taking £200 per mth in charges, called to claim financial hardship, not helpful at all. So FOC are drafting a letter on our behalf. Any advice on how to proceed would be great.

If it is Financial Hardship then I would not even bother going to the courts as they would put an automatic stay on the claim. With the FOS you would have to wait 8 weeks from the point in which you wrote to the bank. Personally, I would wait for now. But if they do not respond by the 8 weeks then FOS and it may well cost them £500 case fee .

No you can't. When you were made bankrupt that account became no longer yours, thus any claim on it from that period is that of the OR. If you did claim then any refund would need to go to the OR and would be distributed through the estate.

I assume you have claimed as in hardship, if so keep going back and saying thats not enough to get you out of immediate hardship and hopefully they will increase it depending on your circumstances.

hi just to say after my last quote i got back onto mm as the customer relations don't answer any questions at all and she put my case through to the manager of money management who is now dealing with it personally as he thinks i have been mucked about and he is actually getting in touch with the head of customer relations and this is from the manager himself if you speak to money management after being referred from customer relations you 100% get a goodwill gesture just cant tell you how much good luck all will stay in touch

rob how stupid i personally along with loads of other people am a mum on benefits waiting until my baby starts full time school to go and work and our benefits are everything but we are not disputing the bank charges but how much they are its like going into the shop to buy a pint of milk for 60p and them charging you £3 you would get your money back straight away wouldn't you
