Hi all, I have a question about my late mothers Barclay's account. She past away over 2 years ago and the account has been closed, but i have just been going through some old statements and she was charged a heck of a lot £30 a pop - totaling up to £800 form what we could see from the statements.
Now can I put a claim in, or since the account was closed not?
Cheers0 -
trying to claim my ppi back from capital one i got made redundant in june and thought how glad i was not to have tried claim it back only to be told that cause i was partime worker under 16hrs a week that i cant claim, but they took the money even when they knew i was part time when i took out the policy
good luck all :mad:0 -
I am lost right now, Ii don't know what is the best form of contact when it comes to Barclays, I have never been treated this way by a business that I am paying a monthly fee for. They just won't budge. Thet ignore most of my letters then i started sending recorded and now all I get is the same template letter telling me I have to wait until the appeal, this has been going on for months. I first contacted them in August 2007 and still no money. Help Me Please...to be honest I am desperate for this appeal hearing. We are talking about over £2000. Help please0

Sorry for posting this again, but can someone who has made more progress confirm that the second letter has to specify in detail all the contested charges? I'm just worried that if I simply regurgitate the limited information Barclays have fobbed me off with, they'll tell me to get lost.0

People on hear seem to be getting very uptight over something that is out of there hands, as long as your claim for bankcharges has been acknowledged all you can do is wait for the out come of the legal case.
I think there is an update due on 26th January so not that much longer to wait for an update.
Asking people to "Help me please" is pointless and you will be getting your self in a state over something you have no control over.0 -

Hi,
I have put in a claim for charges on my Business bank account. I have, today, received a letter from bank to say "We are currently considering your claim". They go on to say that the work involved in assesing my claimmeans it could be 6 - 7 weeks. Does this sound right?? I know that Business accounts are not covered by the current 'test' case, but wanted to know whether to chase them up or if 6-7 weeks was normal??
Any feedback would be great.0 -
I hope someone can help me,
I have followed the template letter in reclaiming ppi from alliance and leicester, and 1 day after the 8 week limit, i have had a reply saying that unfortunately, even though the 8 weeks have elapsed, they are not yet in a position to provide me with an outcome. They then go on to tell me that if im not happy to wait for thier conclusion, i should refer the matter to the financial ombudsman.
I am in need of direction on what to do next. Does it sound like a bluff or do they really think they have a case in not re-embursing me.
Any advice would be extremely welcome.Comp wins since aug 2012... When I started:

This is A/L freephone number 08001412176, just keep calling them. Also send them the 14 Day notice asking for a full refund and let them know that you will be contacting the FOS.0
