As it has now come to light that the ex Chairman of the RBS. Fred Goodwin was not as squeeky clean as he made himself out to be and received a knighthood, surely he should now be stripped of the title "SIR" as his actions have created problems never seen before to which the tax payer is picking up the tab. To be a knight of the realm means honesty and integrity to which has now been proven, Goodwin was notThe Winner Takes it All0

I tried sending my letter to this address today, but was told at the post office that this post code is not recognised. Have you had acknowledgment that this was received?0 -
I have just sold my home. As such I had to cancel my buildings insurance cover with RBS as I cannot legally continue to insure what I do not own. The policy payments are all up to date but they have charged me 20.32p GBP for cancelling. How can this be legal??, If I did not cancel I would be comitting fraud???
Can anyone advise please as I feel rather aggreived especially since RBS lends billions to oil magnates with no security and they penalise normal joe public UNFAIR!!!!!:mad:0 -

Well done with your case, how long did it take?

Hi Lisa
First step is to get hold of all your statements, there should be a template to ask for these under the Data Protection Act in the guide. Then add them up and write in asking for them back. If you are in financial difficulty you will need to state that in the letter and detail your circumstances to be considered, else you will be put on hold pending the end of the test case.

I asked HSBC for an increase in my overdraft of £500 to £1000 as it had a one off fee of £25.
Despite being in secure employment they refused this then allowed all my transactions to continue, i have now incurred £525 of fees in 3 months. Strangely I am overdrawn by £600 this month, If overdraft increase had been approved I would only be £75 overdrawn now !!!!
My reclaim letter is now in the post and awaiting reply.0 -
This also happend to me with Lloyds. They refused to up my overdraft limit.I got overdrawn , then they offerd me a loan to clear the overdrat. Why not just give me the overdraf. I only wanted 300. hardly the national debt.0
