  • hi everyone!!!
I asked my bank the HALIFAX for my money back due to financial hardship.
(had to leave my job due to 2 heart attacks)
    That was 10 weeks ago!!!
On the 17th of June they asked me to fill a form in of my expenditures.
Did that and promptly sent in back recorded delivery.
Rang them last week to see how far my claim had progressed only to be told as i had not mentioned financial hardship my claim was on hold!!!
SO WHY SEND OUT EXPENDITURE FORMS??
I know i stated it as a kept a copy for myself.
So from the 17th of june till today is 8 weeks and not so much as a letter from them.
does this mean ive won as they have not replied to me in the last 8 weeks due to default on their part?
hope someone can answer this for me...ta:confused::confused::confused:

Could anyone advise if maternity pay is classed under financial hardship? I have a claim on hold at the moment with RBOS. Thanks!
    Anyone??? Thanks
  • Quick question pls.

I wrote to the Abbey a few months back complaining about 1 particulars months charges. They then sent me all the gubbins about the test case/on hold etc etc. Wasn't supposed to be a claim as such merely a complaint....

Anyhow, I now want to put in a claim for all charges over the years so do I just write again, which would include the month they "apparently" already got on hold ?

    Thx for your help
  • Hi, can someone please tell me why my post on 9th August has been deleted????

    Thx
  • Yes, i would claim for all the charges over the past 6 years. If your first letter was only a complaint i would start over and use the template letters from here and follow the usual proceedure

I hand deliver all my letters to my local branch so i can be sure they have not been lost in the post.
Recently i started my claim under financial hardship sending my own budget sheet with all my details of income and out come. Then about 2 weeks later they sent one of there own which needed to be filled in with exactly the same details.
I handed this in nearly 2 weeks ago and phoned today to ask how long it will take. I was shocked to be told that they had not recieved my form and would ask my local branch if they had seen it. I was somewhat surprised to be put through to my local brach deputy manager who remembers seeing the form herself and putting it in the internal mail. she later called me back after making some enquires as to where it would be, but said that it had not reached its destination and she would arrange for another to be sent out. I then told her that she can send one if she likes but i will not be filing out another but i will be calling in the Data Protection Services as they have lost my personal details of my bank and my expendatures.
Then about an hour later i get a call from some one much higher up in halifax saying that they will try and proccess my claim using my own budget sheet.
Amazing what happens when you complain.
I am now in the proccess of making my complaint online to the ICO.;)

I'm no expert in things really but i do have 36 years of experience in life, and some of those years fighting off bailiffs.
