Hi
Just want to say a HUGE thankyou for the advice to reclaim charges as have just received all of and more than claimed!!!
halifax
claimed 1045
paid 1518
So I guess I missed some when I wrote the letter, have had huge drop in household income so claim was against hardship, but without this site wouldn't have had a clue and the template worked.
thanks again0 -
I filed my claim, in June with Yorkshire Bank under financial hardship due to being on maternity leave. A fortnight ago I spoke to the office dealing with my claim who told me that it was under investigation. I spoke to them again yesterday and they told me my cheques had been raised and i should hear from them again within the next week or so. I'm not sure whether they have classed me as financial hardship due to me being on reduced income due to being on maternity leave and receiving SMP or due to the fact that my charges were over the threshold that they have ruled as being in financial hardship (i read somewhere that it was £500, but i'm not 100% sure on that one).
She couldn't disclose the total amounts of my cheques, but i'm not holding out for much. The total claim for both accounts was for around £5,000, so we'll see what they offer. This will no doubt be the longest "week or so" of my life! But i guess we're all in the same position0 -
I applied for a total of £150 in unfair charges from lloyds back in may, they have sent me the official letters saying they are waiting for the courts decision but I havent heard anything else? Will I get the moeny back do you think?0

I'm in the process of reclaiming my late patment fees from Natwest. Just to let you all know that they do not charge for sending out a schedule of your charges/late payment fees.
I sent my first letter asking for a schedule of my late fees together with a cheque for £10.00, I duly received my schedule at the weekend together with my cheque which they had returned with a note that they do not charge for this service, so that's a good start! I have worked out the amount i need to claim back complete with interest and I await a reply! Watch this space!0 -
Hi hoping someone can offer a quick answer, have just found out that while auditing a charity groups accounts, we have been charged at a rate of £8 a day for being overdrawn unauthorised. In total over £140 have been taken in charges relating to maximum amount or £70 overdrawn. Is this unfair? should we try and reclaim? any quick answers would be a great help....0

Hello,
I have a bank account with Barclays. Is it still possible to cancel reserve. I was going to opt out, but never got round to it. Is it possible to cancel?
Also, is it too late to claim on past bank charges?
Any feedback greatly appreciated.0 -

I was wondering if i can claim more then 6 years of charges, i already did a claim back in november last year but want to claim under the finacial hardship due to i had citizens advice help me with my debts. I'm also earn min wage and starting full time college in september.
I have charges with halifax going back to 1999, which total £1,172 or £1,803.94 with interest. If i did it with 6 years from the date of the letter it will be £414 or £598 with interest.0 -

im very sad to say that the limitations act prevents you from claiming after six years. the debt is statute bared and you can not reclaim it through the legal system.
the limitations act can also work in your favour sometimes if you owe a creditor they cant claim from you after six years.
if you check out the link below you may be able to find more info. i hope it helps.

I'm no expert in things really but i do have 36 years of experience in life, and some of those years fighting off bailiffs.
