    Bank: NatWest
    Amount claimed: £1,544.
    Amount recieved: £1,544.
Full amount recieved, but only after threatening to take the bank to court. Had no correspondence from the bank until that point. Of course the bank accepts no liability or error on their part, but 'as a gesture of good will' the full amount was refunded. My advice: hang on in there and don't be discouraged at any point.

P.S. Thanks Martin, it's all down to you.

had same from Fatwest they cough and splutter but pay up in the end

    well done

    Natwest.
    Total with interest £3900
    Without Interest £2900
We started to panic a little last week with the person losing there case and started to think we had missed the boat.
Rang natwest today and was informed that an offer of £2700 was on its way in the post.We had sent the letter threatening court action and heard nothing for about 5 weeks.
Think were going to take the offer.

This was exactly what happened to me with Natwest, they say an offer is out here there and everywhere and nothing actually appeared. I still had to take them to a MCOL case and then they paid up. If its not in writing its not an offer, my advice would be stick to your deadlines. Call 08453030456, i found them to be honest helpful and courteous. Hope this is of use .

  • I sent off for statements 03/04/07 and 49 days later i'm still waiting, having already sent the letter for breach of rights etc. In some previous links somebody mentioned ringing the Data Protection Manager at Halifax, can you please pass this number on as Halifax seem to be the worst ones for doing as they please.

    Thanks Sparky

    Thanks cyberman
You are right about the lloyds case people are getting put off with the idea off going to coart now and what they need to realise is going to court is scary anyway but in this instance like you say it was a farce we need to stick together and keep at it it is the only way the banks will give in!!
Hit them where it hurts like they have done with us they might not feel a couple of hundred of one person "but there are hundreds of people doing it now so they soon will feel it"

Just about to send off the second letter to Barclays. I'm glad I left it for a bit because I've taken off the first couple of months (6 years ago) where they charged me about £20 and added on January this year where they charged me £310. This to me is what it's all about £310 for a month would surely seem ridiculous in anyones eyes.

    Amount reclaimed: 1245.00

It took only one letter asking for the charges back and 2 weeks for Natwest to reply. Offered me 900.00 which i have accepted as my overdraft with them is also 900.00. This means I can clear my overdraft, close my account and walk away. Never want to bank with Natwest again. I'm happy.[/QUOTEIT

  • Hello MSEs! I got my letter today stating that I am being moved to a local court (Aldershot & Farnham county court) and that they are dispensing with the questionnaire unless either party gives 14 days notice that they do want a questionnaire. Does anybody know if I still need to go to court/take any further action?? I am claiming over £3k from Barclays....
