Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges article discussion Part II

Can anyone help me with the query? I'm hoping that somebody could answer and it was just overlooked?
There are no time limits. The bank will either pay up or they wont. Give them a call and ask if you can expect payment in the near future. you'll probably find they have made a !!!! up but will pay out anyway. If you haven't got the money within 2 week I would be considering unleashing the bailiffs.0 -
Hi Jo

She has no idea what documentation is needed, it states that she should also send in a witness statement but she's not sure what she should put in it.
Any help would be great as she is getting really stressed out about going to court as she doesnt have a solicitor or anything.
You'll find a link to the Court Bundle thread in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.0 -
Hi, just an update here from 8 weeks ago, i requested my statements for the last 6 years, which they sent with my cheque back. I then sent a letter requesting mt money back (£3250), stating that i was giving two weeks for a reply. A week later they responded with a letter saying they were very busy and looking into the matter. After three weeks i heard nothing so i called them, they informed me that they had 8 weeks to give a full response, so i checked the date of my letter (21/3/07). So last Tuesday was the deadline, no response came that morning so i called again, they said there was a mix up and i would get my reply by Friday. The woman said that the matter was with her supervisor, whom i asked to speak to, but got knocked back, so i told her to give him this message, " if i have not got a satisfactory reply by close of business on Friday, i will be seeking legal action, adding interest, and any loss of earnings for court" . Hey presto, i got a letter on Thursday offering a full and final settlement of £3250, the full amount...........................WHOOHOOOOOOO.............................................. so heres a big thanks to Martin and his slot on radio 2:j0

Thanks Sparky

Hello,
Just found out that my court case is in June. I've found out it's at the Mercantile Court, a division of the high court. I read an article today about Tom Brennan (the guy taking Natwest to court)- if a full hearing of his case goes ahead it will be heard in the Mercantile Court.
Am slightly worried that I'm in a bit too deep. Should I be worried that my case will be at the Mercantile Court. Apparently it's going to be heard with other cases similar to mine in an effort to save time and money.
Any words of advice or reassurance??0 -
Did you ring your local branch or did you ring the Data Protection Manager? If it was the D.P.M. can you pass on the number please
Thanks Sparky0 -
