Hi all, I have been offered £180 by MBNA. I claimed £420. Natwest have offered me £88, where I claimed £210. In both cases they have cited the £12 'they are allowed to charge' and offered the difference. I am not satisfied with these offers. They have effectively admitted guilt and if they cannot prove what their true costs are I am pushing for the lot back. I have done it all by the book. Natwest have refused any further negotiation and MBNA have failed to respond to my letter on partial settlement. I am therefore lodging claims on MCOL. I have documentation ready.
Just wondered how others are getting on with credit card charges. Any views folks? Thanks in advance.Halifax WON! Claimed £1549 on 8th Jan 2007, Settled for £1350 on 29th Jan, Paid 7th Feb.
MBNA (Virgin / Alliance Credit Card charges): WON! Claimed £419 on 17 March, finally offered £425! on 5 June)
Natwest Credit Card: WON! Claimed £250, got 100% + interest + court costs too.
Northern Rock: Mortgage Discharge Fee: WON! Claimed £100. Offered £90 and accepted it.
Natwest Bank / RBS: WON! Claimed £400. Got 100% + interest + court fees back.

I don't have a clue where to start. I have the letter templates, but do I send them to my own branch of Lloydstsb or is there some central address I should deal with?
Thanks

Hello Everyone.
Has anyone else had this letter? If so, please could you let me know what happened next?
Any other advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Barclays asked me to send my card and cheque book back a couple of months ago so I did. They sent me a new cheque book last week which made me laugh. They are also still sending me statements with the only entry being a £10 charge for the premier account. That doesn't make me laugh what are they up to?:rolleyes:0

I could still do with knowin if the overdraft usage fee can be claimed (Lloydstsb) it seems from my statements merely for say using the overdraft facility say 4 - 5 times yet still being within my limit i was charged £25.00 a month

Wow, just come on here for the first time today as my boyfriend has forced me to claim back my charges and directed me to the site.
Firstly, what a great idea, and secondly, thank you to everybody who has taken the time and effort to discuss how their court cases are going against the bank.
I have just done the initial steps of compiling the first letter with list of charges + interest to RBS (just over £2,000), so fingers x'd will get a quick bit of cash back
Thank you all for your inspiration x
