no you cant and yes its only when they hit you with daft charges like £38 because a £2.76 direct debit was rejected and so on.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

Three months ago I wrote off to the Nationwide Building Society requesting a list of their charges covering the last six tears. One month ago I received a letter containg an explanation of their charges and informing me that my name and details had been noted. I also received a list with ONE years charges, which ammounted to £90.00 so I wrote back to them asking them to carefully read my original leter requesting a list covering the past six years. This morning I received anoher letter with the same bumf re bank charges but also a list with no charges or dates or any relevant information at all. I've contacted them by telephone and advised them that they were now in breach of the 40 day ruling. Does anyone know what I should do now? should I contact the Ombudsman or what. Also if the claims have been suspended, why aren't the "charges" one rule for some, another for the rest of us!0

Didnt know whether to start a new thread or just post here, so went for the latter.I have been having problems with my account for a while now, it started when I got married, we decided to get a joint account so my wages were no longer going into my account. I transferred over most of the DD’s but a couple I didn’t, as a result my account went overdrawn. This happened a couple of times and at one point it went over £300 OD so I claimed charges back successfully and asked for an overdraft on the account. The account was in credit for some time then unfortunately went overdrawn again but I was under the impression there was an overdraft on the account so didn’t worry too much about it. But I was still being charged for being overdrawn. I wrote to request for the charges to be refunded because of their error but I received the standard reply stating no charges are being refunded due to the court case going on. My question to you all is, If they decide that charges are lawful and they don’t repay can I take my case further? I requested an overdraft and wasn’t given one (I have one now) due to their mistakes.0

I claimed successfully against the Halifax a while back. Unfortunately (and mainly down to Christmas) I've had letters saying that they're going to charge me £100 on 29 December. This is made up of two charges of £35 and one of £30. I only work part time and £100 represents a fifth of my wages! I cannot afford this, especially in the long month that is January! What can I do? There's no point phoning because last time I called (husband having emergency surgery, bank account was the last thing on my mind) they said they won't be refunding any more charges.
Can I claim again? I do have another account and I could put my wages in there and set up a plan to pay them the £100?
Any advice would be very gratefully received.
Thanks,
