    Bank: Lloyds Tsb
    Amount Reclaimed: £1282
    Amount paid: £750

Took a few months, didn't give me the option to accept said that this was their final and only offer and if I didn't agree I can go to the FOC, which I will be doing to reclaim the remainder.
IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU THEN COMPLAIN TO THE Financial Ombudsman.
I have done the same as Lloyd's seem to do this to everyone.
I claimed for £1260 and received £620 as a final settlement and when i asked them not to put the money into our account because it was not what i asked for they told me to complain to the FO which i did.
I should here from them in the next two weeks.

I applied to Halifax last November for £180.00 charges back. They replied about three weeks later and said it's only credit card charges that you can claim. I sent back with legal details of bank charges claiming letter and threatened to go to court. They phoned me ten days later and offered £150. I accepted. I received the money about six weeks later but htey said it was a one and only claim and offer. Keep on trying then if no luck go to Ombudsman rather than court.

    NOT NATWEST AGAIN ??

You received an offer because Natwest will NOT answer the now "infamous question ..... how do you calculate your charges"

It's just another Natwest "try on", oh boy Natwest are getting seriously boring.

1: YOU STICK OUT FOR YOUR FULL AMOUNT.
2: YOU CONFIRM TO THEM THAT YOU WILL ACCEPT £3200 AS PART PAYMENT TO YOUR CLAIM.
3: YOU TELL THEM THAT FURTHER CHARGES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AND THAT YOU REQUIRE ALL UNLAWFUL CHARGES REFUNDED AND THAT INCLUDES ALL CHARGES MADE AFTER YOUR CLAIM.

Do not be misled by the words " good will gesture" ... Banks don't do goodwill unless they are backed into a corner. If they cannot answer "how do you calculate your charges", they will pay you back every single penny.

    KEEP THE PRESSURE ON

I have just posted my letter stating i will accept £3200 as part payment and that I require the full amount of my charges including the charges which have been applied since I started my claim together with my legal costs of £120 giving me a grand total of £4606. So fingeres crossed I hear back within 14 days. Ill keep you postedand thanks for all the great advice:rotfl:

Hi Edinburghlass I have a question which is not relevant to reclaiming, but I wonder if you can answer this or point me to someone who can, When looking at my bank statement online, I note that 2 payments have been taken on 23.07.07, how could they do this earlier today ???

It depends on what time their system updates. On my online banking I can quite often see Monday's transactions that are in over the w/end but dated for the Monday.

Just went to check but its past midnight so it would show as correct anyway.
