  • :o hi sorry not sure where to post, has anyone had success with the ombudsman for reclaiming charges and how long did it take thanks
  • I have been through the same process as everyone else. I am now at the point where a 'judgement by default' has been issued against the bank.
Does anyone know what happens after this?
I haven't heard anything from the bank, do i need to chase them up?
Any advice would be most welcome.

received defence papers from Barclays, the usual letter seen in these threads, they are basically asking for a schedule of charges. i am sending them a copy of these charges (3d one ive sent to them) to their litigation department, should i send a copy to the court as well even though there is no date set yet.
  • An offer from the Abbey

    Offer £763
    Claim £4750

Well Done all before me. I need help?. I started my proceedings last march and I have now reached the part where the bank disputes my charges although they have made an offer £763 as a good will gesture. So I must have done something right. letters crossed where I said I was going to court and their offer. What do you think next move should be? They said I could write to the Financial Ombudsman. Or should I just go straight for Court?

    Hi

Can anyone give me any advice?
I started my claim in March 2007. Last Friday I received a copy of the banks defence (from the bank themselves). MCOL states defence received effective 13/04/07 and I can go no further with my claim online. To date I have received nothing in writing from the court. Does anyone know how long this usually takes?

Also can anyone advise me as to what I should take along to the hearing once it is happening?

My bank is Abbey and the amount I am trying to reclaim is £2704. If anyone else is battling Abbey or sucessfully done so please get in touch so we can compare and maybe help each other along the way. It is quite un nerving to think that the average Joe Bloggs is taking a massive company to court!!!

    Thanks very much
hi I am now ho[ping to take abbey to count could you tell me how to go about it
