Good to read your story. I have just received an acknowledgement of service telling me that LTSB intend to defend the claim and I was thinking 'Oh my God, what have I done!'. freaking out a bit here. Will I really have to go to court!0

Got a letter from Morpeth county court. My case is being transferred to there, (phew). I am claiming against Barclays & they have entered a defence however the allocated questionaire i have been sent to fill in states I have to send £100 with it. I have already paid out £120 to MCOL this is to be another £100 now & I cannot see how the courts can keep making people pay fees. Surely small claims cannot work out to be so expensive to claim.
Can anyone offer me any advice please?0 -
could someone help. Have taken Lloyds all the way with the FOS. Originally claimed £642 but have been offered £319 as they say some charges were refunded, approx £82. I did include full interest not calculated so should I just accept this offer as charges without interest were around £300. Help!!0

I posted letter to themon 16th June regarding LTSB and got an offer today. So I reckon approx 4wks although they advise could be 6wks. They told me LTSB would credit my account with the offer in anytime up to 6wks. Hope this helps0

Received a letter yesterday saying that they won't be reimbursing me anything due to the fact that their fees are reasonable and competitive with those made by other financail organisations.
The office of fair trading has commented that they consider the level of late payment fees to be unfair, however, they were actually referring to late payment fees for credit card payments.
How much more rubbish will they come out with I wonder......
Have a busy weekend ahead so will be sitting at my computer most of monday sorting out the next stage of the process - plus they have taken nearly another £300 out of the account in charges since the first letter so am adding that on aswell.

Please can somone tell me if I can still claim paid refferals from a bank which I 'banked' with from 2001 to 2005? I have got them to send me all my statements already. Also sorry if this is not the correct place to ask a question but I cant seem to find out what Im supposed to do!!
quote=paul1e;5195668]Hi all,
Update on my claim, got statements online and worked out charges to £3368 sent first letter claiming this plus interest on 05/03/07, recieved usual letter from Mr Langdale, dealing etc etc on 16/03/07, made a couple of phone calls but didn't follow up due to lack of finances and did not want to threaten court and not be able to follow it through, when finally in a position to carry on it was about 7 weeks after first letter, looking at a lot of hsbc threads it seem that people were filing online then getting offers after about 8 weeks, so thought would leave it for the 8 weeks, Hsbc stated that they started investigation into complaint on 12/03/07.. made phone call on 08/05/07 ready to carry on and was told that a offer letter had been sent that day, recieved letter dated 08/05/07 on 10/05/07 offering £2830.93. Phoned leeds on 14/05/07 to be told that it could not be discussed over the phone and i had to sent a refusal letter in and it would be reviewed. not happy with this phoned again about an hour later and different person told me that they would put me on the ringback list but it would take up to 48 hrs. Phone this morning and was told that I was on the ringback list but it was only put on it on 15/5/07 so expect a call tomorrow... 20 mins later recieved call from hsbc to discuss claim, told him i was not happy with offer and that the £85 of charges that they said I had been paid back I had not, he rechecked it for me there and then and apologised and said they had made a mistake, then offered me £3000, asked for £3300 and he said he could go no higher then £3000 as they will not pay out more then 90% of a claim, I said come on this is a negotiation and said i would be happy to settle at £3150, he said i bet you would, then said ok and he will get the offer out in the post today and expect to recieve it in 2 or 3 days.... I make that about 94%
Seems HSBC are making a offer after 8 weeks, but if it goes to the court stage then they get their hard heads on and see it through for as long as they can.....
Will post on the success thread when monies safely in my account....[/quote]0 -

Hi People, I have just read a post on the CAG website( posted by JAMES33) that says you can't claim interest until you go to court!!!
Is he right? I'm in the process of claiming back £2996 from Abbey for me (sent first 3 letters and had no reply, so now just waiting for 8weeks to be up to go to FOB about it)and £1970 from Nationwide for my hubby-2-B (sent 2 letters got the go-away-we're-not-paying letter and they advised us to go to FOB if we're not happy so thats what we did!) I included interest on both of these using the great templates and calculator from this site.
Help now I'm panicing....Have I ruined our chances of getting anything back?
ThanksBefore judging someone walk a mile in their shoes, then if you still don't like them your a mile away and they have no shoes!:p :money:0 -

WHAT RUBBISH THEY COME OUT WITH.
Why do they think everyone is reclaiming from all the other banks ??????
If you have given them the 14 days and this is the reply, warn them that if they do refund in full within the next 7 days you will commence court proceedings
