So DH has this week off which is lovely as I'm coming home to dinner on the table but as he 'pops' to the shop for the ingredients each day....well,I dread to think how much he's spending this week!

Coming home to a cooked dinner is fab. My DH was off a few weeks ago amd it was also lovely only having to get myself ready in the morning!

So the house got a decent clean and two charity bags have been filled :)

I'm well thanks ng. DS is adjusting to school and displaying a new lovely attitude at home.

We've dodged (I think) a £4000+ holiday. BIL has been pushing for months to get us going to Disneyland USA and DH had all but decided to go! Thank god good sense prevailed this time!

Thanks Cath :) I had a lovely clean house while DS was at school shame it only takes 20mins for him and DD to trash the place! :rotfl:

Nan's been moved to a different ward which I hope is a quieter one and dad says he is fine and taking it easy.

I was reviewing our spreadsheets today and our average grocery spend this year so far is £333. Five years ago it was £200, what a change!

My new freezer is on order :T so we are on emptying the broken one which no doubt will lead to some interesting meals.

And as there's £250 off DH's chosen freezer he decided to buy us a all signing microwave oven too.

On a saving, rather than a spending, note I've managed the £350 saving each month so well that I've set up a standing order. This is a big thing for me as it means there's no buffer in my account.
