Hi ourcornercottage :wave:nice to 'meet' you
It's always nice to hear that other people think the same way about stuff. Our neighbours quite often use our bin as theirs is full, they really don't get how ours has space!
I did not know that you could use some cash with the vouchers newgirly, thanks for letting me know.Legoland tickets not ordered yet so that's really useful
It was such a lovely day that a load of washing dried in record time and DH washed our windows while I murdered some weeds with great relish and finally pruned the rambling rose.
While the above saves on heating, a spin cycle and a window cleaner, the £45 trampoline we bought (second hand of course) used up all my cashIt's huge and shall be living at the bottom of the garden so it doesn't over look anyone. I used to hate the trampoline our neighbours had at our old house, a garden of a postage stamp meant we really had no privacy when the child was bouncing and shouting to her friends two doors down!
I'm off to bed, fingers crossed for a restful night :ACurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I've a stinking cold so apart from tissues, whisky and paracetamol not much is happening here.
I've been asked to do some overtime in the summer and we're eating from the freezer rather than getting a take away which I couldn't taste anyway.
On the use less front I tried a quick wash cycle in the machine after reading frugal queens blog (I've only just discovered her) but while the clothes are fine the cloth nappies really smelt of ammonia.
Here's hoping for a sunny day tomorrow so that the bedding can get washed.

Sniff, sniff... I have no doubt that several small trees have been destroyed so that I may blow my nose every minute. my poor cotton hankies just can't keep up and they are not very nice when soggy _pale__
But throwing all these tissues reminded me that every cloth nappy I put DD in is 12p saved. :A The marg tubs that I use for lunch/freezer food actually get used more often than the lunch boxes I bought especially.
I could also quite easily turn a great deal of my rubbish into compost, I just need to get into the habit of taking peelings and shredding paper to the composter.
The walk to the end of the garden will do me good too.
I have over £40 in a savings tin which is earmarked for the £350 targetCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Today was the great 80th tea party, I spent so long Friday icing cakes that I dreamt that DD was one while I had her in bed last night:eek:. There was so much cake that I have brought enough home to feed all my neighbours and church tomorrow.
A bit of a mix up with the food order also meant that 20 loaves of bread need to find a home so I'll be seeing who has freezer space to store it!

We're off to centre parks tomorrow :j
As its mothers day I had an extra long shower and then changed the bedding, cleaned the house and packed the bags. As the food is marked up half the car will be filled with food tomorrow!
I'm so looking forward to being away, especially Wednesday when I'm booked into the spaCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

We're back from our break and we had a great time
We only ate out once and that one meal cost more than our food for the entire week! DH is bragging like he organised the food - roll eyes
Just getting through the mountain of washing and I need to tilly tidy the accounts and count the pennies. My overtime has been paid so the £350 target this month is truly smashedCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Well done on on reaching your target this month. We always find that meals out while you are away are such a gamble. It's so disheartening to pay out for a "treat" meal only to be really disappointed with the quality for the price. We have decided to do our own food while away this time and save the meal out for when we get home. We have a choice of local restaurants we know we can trust.
Did you enjoy the spa?0 -
The spa was great zootie
I had a hot stone massage for the first time which was lovely.
Thanks to the overtime £602.33 has been put towards the £20k challenge :T otherwise I would have been almost £50 short the £350 month target.
Unfortunately I've sprained my ankle so what's a girl going to do other than get her mother to mow the lawn?:rotfl: much tea, cake and salmon later half my lawn is mowed and two shrubs prunedA Herculean effort with the kids 'helping'

Glad you enjoyed centre parcs, we have just booked to go. I am so tight when it comes to eating out. I plan to take as much food with us as we can! By DM is coming with us so I think some spa time needs to be sorted out for us.
Hope the cake helped with the sprained ankle?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
