I've never been to CP.
As I don't have children, I've never been quite sure whether it'd be right for me.
One of my friends used to go every year when her son was younger, and now she takes her grandchildren.
I get that break from the rest of the world feel when I go on a cruise ship, so CP sounds appealing.Early retired - 18th December 2014

CP is good for little ones, too - DD was 15 months when we went and all of ours have been when small (Our youngest is only just 5) - there's lots of activities aimed at small ones, the kids clubs if you want some child-free time, walking in the forests etc - and the swimming - which has areas for small ones xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Wow, you've all made me even more excited about going to CP
First to come is DS's birthday. The garden is getting cleared as we 'speak' and tomorrow all the branches from the trees will be chopped so we can store them better. The plan is to make the very back garden a play area so that the lawn is clear of obstacles. This means not only clearing the area but also levelling it and putting down weed membrane and play bark. I can see it costing us £500, not including the skip.
Anyhoo, the house will be full of loud kids and their parents next month. I'm just going to make a load of cheese and ham sandwiches with some nibbles and a large chocolate cake. No party bags! Just got to figure out a few games to play and to pray for dry weather.
I finally got round to doing April's finances and it was scary! Fingers crossed this month is better and all I can say is thank God for family, savings and chocolateCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

You've all made me want to go to CP too, maybe I'll look into it for next feb half term, that's if our savings are not going towards an abroad hoiday. I can't wait to hear about your trip smlsave.:D
The plans for the garden sound good, we are going to make a similar play area in our garden once I move the chicken run...Kids play equipment does tend to ruin the lawn somewhat.Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

it's been almost a month since I popped on mse
We've just survived DS' birthday party which went really wellit cost a mini fortune even though we had it at home as DH just 'had' to buy a heater for the pool. The cake I made looked amazing! It was the number 3 covered in smarties and I'm going to do similar every year from now on.
We currently have yet another skip on the drive so that's over £1000 spent on skips alone this year!
Strange to think that DS is 3 on Monday (but if you ask him he's 67) he's still blonde and blue eyed and skinny but his hands and feet are really solid now. Thank you comes easily to him but please is always such a battle. Not long ago DS was exactly where DD is now, learning to roll over, starting to chat and a real boobie monster.
I must be getting old...Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

DH has just hit the neighbours car
So that's probably £200-£300 gone just like that
I spent £15 at Morrison's today on snacks ready for legoland on Thursday. So that's £15 snacks, £50 tickets, £5 parking and I have £50 cash which I'm hoping I'll get change out of.
Some good news is that we won a competition and are getting a family photo done this weekend with £50 to spend - we've never won anything before!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
