SmlSave's extremely small steps to reducing the mortgage

So I did finally get up and really enjoyed meeting my friend
I'm spending a small fortune in coffee shops but that's ok
Happy to report that the child benefit form was posted and I overpaid the grand to the mortgage. Nice man at the bank told me that I can now manage my mortgage online - finally! - so I'll have a look tomorrow...sorry, mean later today.
Batteries and cough medicine popped this week's grocery shop over £60 and then I also bought snacks (crisps and brownies as had new friends over) and I bought a slab of pork belly for £9. It's already been cooked for 3 hrs - go me! - and is currently getting pressed/squashed by a plate and tins ready to be cooked again tomorrow. I assume the squashing removes yet more fat and makes it look fancy, we shall see.
: the pork and crackling already tastes amazingCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Hi Crumpets, it's a Starbucks near us with the play park. I've picked up their card and just need to register it. For every 15 visits I'll get a free drink which is better than nothing.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I didn't realise Starbucks had a reward card. I mainly stick to Costa, but as I'm addicted to reward cards, I'll get a Starbucks one tooEarly retired - 18th December 2014

No worries about me dieting
I'm just trying not to put more weight on!
The belly pork was lovely, next time I'll just cook it once though as I thought cooking twice didn't add much. Next time I will remember to get it de-boned.
Lawn had been mowed and DS has been taken to the park by his uncle
so DH is going to put up the door curtain to stop the draught.
The farmers market this morning was a bit disappointing, we ended up getting a kfc as the falafel man wasn't there
Got some nice bread, cheese and 2 goose eggs to try

I'll be sure and report back with how centre parks is Crumpets
It's eaten the last of our savings but DH and I have agreed not to worry about that. When I go back to work I will build up the savings first and then op the mortgage.
Talking of work they've finally come back to me and I'll be going back in Jan for a trial period of 3 days a week. The plan is that DS will go to preschool for those days while DD is at nursery 1 day and the grandparents the other 2.
We're enjoying the lovely weather although DS has a problem with overheating which is hard work to manage...oh woe is me, having to eat ice creams
P.S. the grocery bill has doubled from 200p/m to 400p/m *faint*Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
