Radish - where did you find that image!?! :D

I'm having a bath on Tuesday when we go to Mum's - sooo looking forward to it! I'll see if she has any lavender oil to try but might just stick to a bit of salt.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who screamed gally :)

Our roof has been fixed just in time for the weather to get sunny. As it only cost us £150 (thank you insurance company) I think it can be classed as money saving :)

But DH buying himself and DS both Kindle Fires is certainly not money saving - I haven't even asked how much they cost!

    Duty calls....hope everyone is well

Just caught up with your whole diary.

    Congratulations on your new arrival.

Witch hazel on maternity towels and in the freezer helped with my stitches., both times wouldn't have been without them - although you might be past that stage by now ;)

Looking forward to see how you manage this year. Best of luck.

Just popping on to say that we are well :) We have new neighbours who seem nice and DD is still fairly easy going.

Time is just flying by but nothing much ever seems to get done! The grocery shopping has gone crazy, I guess from where I notice what is running out so much sooner. £200 in two weeks when that's our total monthly budget!

Got some good news from work that on my return I'm getting a pay rise :D Roughly an extra 50p an hour.

DS is at nursery today so I really must get some things done.....

  • Hello SmlSave, I lurked on your diary briefly before your daughter was born - congrats! I too made a scene during my stitches, but it was more of the blue air kind of utterances, ahem ;)

I too was astonished how our grocery bills increased when my second was born, it seemed even more marked than after my first, it has stabilised now she's over 1, I think you just have to roll with it for a bit, it will all settle down in time. For now enjoy that lovely snuggly bundle [STRIKE]not broody or envious at all[/STRIKE] :rotfl:

    All the best xx

Just popped in to say congrats on your little girl. Beautiful name :)

I was epiduraled up to the hilt for my stitches thank goodness but goodness they were painful afterwards. 3 months on the scar is still a bit twingy at times.

Enjoy every minute of your little one xxx

Nice to meet you roaring20 :) the grocery bills are still ridiculous so my aim this month is to empty the freezer. I've got a warm snuggly bundle of hiccups on me atm - seeing as you don't get broody at all ;)

MIL tells us that we shouldn't hold her too much as we'll spoil her....:naughty: but then she also told me that DS is a bad eater today after giving him sweets 20 mins before dinner :rotfl:

My mortgage statement arrived and as expected we need to overpay circa £1000 to get to 75% equity by next year. I want to take the money from our emergency saving and op it now but need to get DH on side which might have to wait as he's in his overdraft and the joint account is begging for my payday which thankfully comes next week.

He's still just ordered a dishwasher, plans to get a chrome book (for me apparently ) and wants to book our trip to Holland soon. Basically we've spent his Christmas bonus already - here's hoping he gets a good one this year!

Lovely to hear from you Lilly :D How is your lo? If I planned to have any more kids I'd beg for an epidural before letting them stitch me - you'll just feel pressure - my #!#!#. You were very brave having forceps, not sure I could face them even drugged up.
I saw from your diary that you plan to use cloth nappies :) DD has such skinny legs atm that my pretty aio's leak so I'm back to using DS's old two parters.

Hi sml. Ignore the MIL. They were put on earth to offer unwanted advice!
I guess you need plenty of fuel if feeding baby so groceries will cost a bit more for a while?
    Enjoy this wonderful time. Xxx
