Got home yesterday to find DH stood by a bucket and looking up at a leak in
    the living room
Thankfully it was a quick fix but honestly what more can go wrong?

    The
    dishwasher is tripping the electrics.

The flat roof is going to cost
£1200 and I told the insurance company £500 - this will teach me to take what DH
says over the phone instead of checking the written quote!

    Another
wall's plaster had to come off in DS's room so still no coving or skirting.

We've already replaced the boiler, removed countless foundations from
the garden, made the trees safe, cleared the guttering ...... can we please have
a few months where nothing needs doing?

Oh no, what a mess! Fingers crossed nothing else goes worng.

I certainly knows how it feels, it never rains but pours!

    You nearly off work yet?

3 weeks being 12 working days to go BlueMoo :) I am looking forward to being able to get the house ready!

It certainly pours in our living room :rotfl:

Spoke to a nice lady at the insurance company who is now organising to send us £1000 so we can get the roof fixed. I'm sure our premiums will go through the roof (lol) this year but it needs to be done.

Sorry for having a moan but I can't moan at DH as he feels bad enough already.

Going to find your diary now BlueMoo.......

    please, please, please :)

Came home to some good news after my earlier moan - DH has been given a pay rise! :D Should work out at roughly an extra £100 a month which will certainly help keep our heads above water this year.

I've just eaten a very large cream cake :EasterBun and now feel quite unwell

    ... serves me right :rotfl:

I spent yesterday sulking as I've been refused entry to the birth center when DD decides to make an appearance. :silenced: DH however is over the moon.

Strange to think that Friday will be the last day of January already. This months money seems ok atm and I may suggest to DH that I make a small OP if he's able to put in his amount for February

Just discovered your diary smlsave and have subscribed. You are doing really well to be even thinking of an OP after all the things that you've had to tackle with the house.

Never mind about the birth centre - it's the baby that counts not how she gets here. :)
    Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)
    2019 Challenges: Make £300 a month: £9.71/£300 (January)
