Got my 15p back Crumpets and popped a total of 21p in the change jar :) DH's wallet was nowhere to be found but I'm hoping there's some change in their.

We've picked some Owl wallpaper for the nursery which thankfully is not pink http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/wallpaper-wall-stickers/kids-wallpaper/unisex_wallpaper/Owl-Wallpaper-in-Multicolour-by-Fun4Walls-12389044
I did laugh at the review from August - obviously someone who is a novice wallpaper buyer! ;)

Gas and Electric should be costing us £77 a month soon which is a £13 saving a month :)

    Every little helps

Glad you all like the wallpaper :)

We got our first quote from tree surgeon yesterday - £1200
I sincerely hope that the other quotes are cheaper!

Had a spending day yesterday when I got two bags of baby clothes for £17, two bras for £25 (they creak when I move atm :o ) £1 on playgroup and £3 on a pastry and cake.

Bl**dy annoyed at the last bus driver though - checked with him that he was going to my stop as I knew there were roads works. Told yes, yes and he bl**dy didn't! I ended up walking in the dark and wet for 20mins to get home when, if he'd been honest i could have just got a different bus.

Baby seems to be doing well although the midwife I met with wasn't so optimistic about me being allowed in the birth center  so its another appointment in 3 weeks and a consultant appointment in Jan.

Two more tree quotes in. One at £220 and one at £350 - these do not include the amount of work I asked the first guy to do though as DH was left unsupervised. *rolls eyes* Apparently its my fault as he asked me what he should ask them but I did expect some commonsense/memory to kick in. what was I thinking!?!

Anywhoo the lower quotes are just to remove the most overhanging branches, dead wood and middle tree to make it all safe. After much discussion we will get the lesser work done and in a few years reduce the oak tree crowns when there are more available funds.

I can't believe it's only four weeks to Xmas already! :)

I'm doing quite well with presents overall BlueMoo. I need to sit down one evening and get them all wrapped and labeled so that I don't get tempted to buy extra and to check there's no-one I've forgotten.

And then there's the cards to write, the decorations to get down from the loft and the tree to buy..... so not much at all ;) Ohh and get a meal plan organised for the day and the food shopping ordered. And DH needs to finish the baby's room.

:o no advent calendars bought Crumpets :o I keep seeing them and thinking ...should I.... but then I figure that I can probably get away with one more year before DS realises what they are. Plus he's currently being bribed chocolate buttons to use the potty so its not like he's being deprived chocolate.
