A lot of news chatter confirming she was a strong leader, questions whether she was a good one.
Certainly polarised opinion. Positive and negative views 51/49. Scotland and Wales more negative.
Interesting that she passed away in the Ritz. Reports suggest she had been there since Christmas."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

The latest figures for those claiming benefits 'illegally' is here:
http://statistics.dwp.gov.uk/asd/asd2/index.php?page=fraud_error
For 2011/12 it shows that "0.7%...of total benefit expenditure is overpaid due to fraud" (0.5% of DLA)
I don't think you'd get much veg picked on those numbers....?
In short, I don't trust any stats created by the same department as the stas are based upon. When you have benefits paid with no entitlement testing whatsoever, like dla, you can bet your backside the scum are going to abuse the system. And labour constituencies don't do anything about it, as they don't want to nark off their core vote.0 -

Scotland. Pah. They are going to be third world once they get independence and we pull the Barnett formula payments. More self pity about why 2 decades on after maggie including 12 under labour, they have the worst hard drug and unemployment issues in the country.thats despite having some of the highest per capita support from the state in the country too.0 -

I also suspect its a lot higher than 0.7% too. That's only the detectable fraud.0

Most of the problems with the benefit system isn't fraud - it's abuse - even more difficult to quantify.0 -

With respect, this is one of those times.
I think he gave his opinion in a polite way. The news etc are going to be full of people giving their opinion and I have no issue with people who weren't her biggest fan explaining that if they do so in an appropriate manner. She was a divisive figure and pretending that she wasn't doesn't help anyone.
Personally I think she achieved many incredible things and was a truly great Prime Minister even if she, like everyone, didn't get everything right and wasn't perfect.Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. Blackwhite bellyfeel double plus good...0 -

Want to explain the 600,000 who aren't going for testing since the test came into effect? Want to explain the huge variance in claimants by region? (Some areas have almost 25% claiming dla, all labour, whilst others have less than 2%)

Whats makes you think there is no testing for DLA? What about people with mental health issues who i suspect would have great difficulty being put infront of people for a test.0
