  • The planning is going well!

Our friend is a wedding photographer by trade (he won lots of awards) so he has been really good with advice and stuff..

Logged in online today to see I got paid my holiday pay from work! :D €360 now in my account. I have a few options for it, I might pay off my littlewoods account with it and then spend the rest or divide it up into all our payments!

Still no sign of our house deposit and my nerves are starting to fray a little about it! Grrrr..

Well, it will be a quiet week this week for me and my OH as he gets paid next monday and we have quite a lot to put away into savings for the wedding now! Yays!

  • Yeah beanielou, I think thats what I'm going to do! I had already paid this months payment on that account anyway but it'll be nice to have it all paid off I suppose!

So a quiet day for me in the house, planning on going upstairs to the gym in our complex and reading my kindle. Most of the housework is done and I don't want to be gunning ahead with wedding stuff incase in two years time it turns out I don't like the stuff.

In other news, I'm back doing slimming world. Both our mums are having an engagement party for us when we come home in November. So, I kinda wanna be able to afford a nice new party dress and be a little bit more confident in it! Half a stone would do nicely, any more than that and I'm just being greedy :D

So, I am also on the look out for a nice dress. Luckily, I have been pretty good with our finances this month and there may be a little bit left over in the pot for me to find something on sale. Either that or I'll wear something I already own!

OH is getting paid on monday, we are collecting my engagement ring then! :) After that, we will be diving up so I'll come back with a full report!

  • Thanks Beanielou! I did SW before but it'll be great to see what new recipes there are!

So my credit ran out last night while phoning littlewoods (I'm out of the country) so I'll top up and pay that off this weekend! Talk about hard graft to get rid of those debts.. LOL!

Today is much the same like yesterday, slinking round the house! Last night OH took me out to dinner with his work colleages and wives, twas fun! Nice to met new people to socialise with, I'll admit at the minute, I'm not being very social!

No more debt free-ness to report, other than actually using the stuff in my cupboards as apposed to going out for lunch! LOL

  • Aw great to hear you're getting out and about :) Meeting new people, regardless of whether you end up 'close' to them or not, is always a positive thing!

And well done on using the stuff in the cupboards! ;):T

  • Thanks Headabove!

Started to use swagbucks again today, let it play on in the background while I'm browsing online.. Wedding cakes in M&S are around £250.. Could I get it all from swagbucks? It would be a challenge but it would be interesting!

Doing well today, went upstairs and managed to head to the gym for half hour! If I get on laundry now and get my lunch sorted, I'll be flying! LOL

  • So today is a very lazy saturday! Me and the OH went out for the day yesterday, visited the camel park, seen some palaces and then went for lunch and did a bit of window shopping.. Spent a measly €5 and I was delighted!

My money is still sitting in my bank account, need to get to top up the phone before littlewoods will allow me to pay off my whole bill.

Got a bit upset yesterday looking at all the lovely things in the shopping center, guess I just need to remind myself that it'll be okay in the end and that I can budget to have some lovely stuff in the house..

Ah well, off to have a late brekkie! Toodles!

  • Decided that I'm going to try and meal plan for the week as well. I'm trying to do SW so will have to incompass that!

Today : Homemade chicken fried rice
Tomorrow : Homemade pizza and wedges
    Monday : Pasta bolognaise bake
Tuesday : needs to be something quickly heated up as we will both be at GAA training
Wednesday: Chops, gravy and potatoes and veg/usually we go out for steak night with colleages but this is a tight month so need to reign it in!
Thursday: Chicken Chilli with veg and rice
Friday: Maybe date night.. So will keep looking here!

For lunchs, OH usually has HM sandwiches which I make with fruit, I usually eat whatever is in the cupboards for my lunch.. aka pasta, salads omlettes so I will need to do our a shopping list before we head to the shop!
