Hey guys!

Managed to meal plan all this week but went out for a sneaky dinner last night, heading into town tonight hopefully so will top up phone and on Friday I will ring up and get some of the bills paid off. Realised I have €250 in my bank account and I need to pay out €200 to my dentist for my teeth so only left with €50 to pay off debts! However, its €50 more than I have paid off so I should be thankful.
I think that I'm not getting my deposit back, bitterly disappointed. That's €600 I'll never see again

Hey guys! So, updating signature and all from weekend grocery spends, €60 spent on groceries, but we have loads in the house now so hoping for a low spend week next week! Will just need fresh fruit and veggies.
Cannot for the life of me seem to get into slimming world.. Grr.. Gonna head to the gym in half hour, come back, get a shower and then make a clear plan for saving some money. It's all well and good to save money for the wedding but if we don't have any money left at the end of the month what is the point?
Planning on clearing these debts slowly.. I think my main 2 that I am worried about are in OH's name so I shouldn't worry too much! Going to try after this month to get them cleared as best I could and then troop on with LW and my CC bill.094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

I seem to be leaking money at the moment! Grrrrrrr
Have to pay for flights for november and february to go home!
But I did send a sharp text message to my old landlady about my deposit. I text her my account details (i really don't care how rude it is) but she has had a full month and a half to return my deposit and I think I have been more than reasonable.
She checked over the house and said it was fine so I have no idea what her problem is. Plus the house has been rented out again. Gah!
Well, LSD yesterday, topped up my phone and put money into the bank. Today shall be a NSD as I plan on chilling in the sun and also going to the gym upstairs. All meals will have been out of stores so yay!
Some good news!
Haven't done much in the way of wedding planning other than read up on different forums about things. Seems like an awful lot of money on one day but I guess, its an investment in our friends and family and I'm sure we will be recieving the favour at some stage!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Fingers crossed for the deposit! She is being very rude indeed!
I've only ever rented once, and when it came to handing in my notice and last months rent, they didn't actually get my last months rent. It matched the deposit which I'd have been getting back (supposedly), so just made sure I got it :rotfl:
I wouldn't be a fan of spending a huge amount on a wedding. I'd put it towards a house deposit!! But that's just me and I've never been married so who am I to comment?!
If you think it is a bit steep, then could you maybe knock some off the total and cut budgets on a few things to make it more affordable? Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
So the landlady is definitely not giving us back our deposit! In fact, she told me I owe her rent, which I don't so I'm not sure why she would say that!
So I updated my siggy to reflect the change, I'm down to just €1190 to pay off now, I've been fairly bad at paying off stuff but I figure if I could the two bills paid off, I can concentrate in the new year at paying off my credit card and littlewoods account. cc stands at €450 and littlewoods at €200 so its going down thank god! The other two bills will have to be sorted between me and my OH in the first couple of weeks of November!
I was freaking out a little as I forgot to make a payment for my cc this month so will be hit with a late payment charge.. Bleh..
Onwards and upwards I am finally sticking to my diet! yay! And I got a dress to wear to my friends wedding for when I go home so it is all working out!

Well I'm starting to freak out about spending that amount of money on our big day as well! My OH just shrugs it off cos he says we will be fine. And I know we will but I think its an irrational fear of our guest list going up!
I suppose I'm going to spend the same amount on flowers etc no matter how many guests I have.
Gawd, when is this feeling of dread going to go away? Its not even rational!
Anyhoo, I made a new friend
so I am going out for coffee tomorrow and going to a second hand book fair as well to buy some material to read! 094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Yeah, it is one day. But our thing is we both come from divorced families meaning that there is a whole lotta extra 'family'... lol
So I told my OH last night about the little bit of debt I had. I was so embarrassed to do it but he was great about it. Said we would get it sorted and not to worry too much, I'm aiming to have it gone by the new year.
I realise I need to start saving for emergencies etc..
So, this is what I'm saying to myself : emergency savings are needed, savings for our house, and nest egg savings?
I'd love to have a good bit put away to fall back on. How does everyone else do it?094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

:j for new friends!

Glad you told OH about your debt, and better still he's being supportive! Will make it that wee bit easier for you
Great to have savings to fall back on in case of emergency, but I would recommend getting rid of any debt first, mainly because of the fees and/or interest rates. Once you've got rid of your debt, put that same amount away each month into savings instead.Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Always nice to get out of the house! LOL
My OH is great, should have my debt paid off in 3 months (hopefully!!).. This week is gonna be a bit tight as I've nada to spend. Heading to a house party tomoro night and already have beer in the house! Plan on staying put this week.
I've some bits in the fridge but admittedly, not a whole lot in our fridge which is worrying! I'm sure we will rumble on through to this time next week which is payday!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250
