Thanks Raggydoll85, I've been soo rubbish recently, I just needed to go back to basics for a while as I'm so easily distracted from my situation - actually it's more a case of burying my head in the sand

CHallenges scare me LMD, I have a very simple brain! I will investigate though - if I could just plan & aim for a number of NSDs, then I might be able to manage it... I'll go and have a look for an Oct version... you've inspired me :j

Thats all it is, at the start of the month you state how many NSD's you will aim for and update each day you manage it

Not sure im inspirational, just reeling from my light bulb moment still! Haha!

Unfortunately, it turned out as only 4 NSDs in a row - I HAD to buy something to eat after work yesterday as it would be another 4 hours before I got home, so I spent £2.50 on food to tied me over

However, I did teach & earn an extra £20 to put towards paying a good friend back, which I will do today
I have also just had my eyebrows done as a treat for £7 - however, I withdrew £50 from my newly filled up bank account and pledge to withdraw no more until next payday on 25th Oct
This £50 will cover any minor pennies required (including eyebrows!) for the rest of the month - aarrgghh!
I will today pay my horse commitments including school hire for Sept, and livery bill
That is all
x
PS I have committed to 15 NSDs for Oct

Well you have still done well as £2.50 isn't the end of the world!
£50 for the month is good going... I might try and limit myself too and see if I can stick to the challenge.

Ok here we go AGAIN :mad: I'm not sure how many times I have to do this, but I'm REALLY bad at trying to pay off all my debt!! However as I get paid tomorrow, I had best do some financial planning...
Pay = £2062 (25th Nov)
December Outgoings
Mortgage contribution = £450
Diesel/Petrol = £400
Car Ins = £25
Student Loan = £120.19
M&S Bank Loan = £243.45
Barclaycard = £157.57 (balance £7003.35)
Virgin CC = £154.04 (balance £6356.56)
RAC = £14.84
NFU Dog Ins = £20.79
NFU Horse Ins = £61.36
Water = £18.72
Dental plan = £11.95
WHW Charity donation = £5
Orange = 35.59
Monty Roberts Online Uni = £6.44
Horse Livery = £85
Horse Farrier = £60
Horse School Hire = £30
Horse Feed = £20
Total Outgoings = £1919.94
The good news it seems that my official commitments are less than my income, which I wasn't expecting, however I know that I consistenly overspend. Earlier this year I had a spending diary which I have since let slip, but I do know that I spend too much on regular trips to supermarkets to get rubbish top-up food.
So I will commit right here & now to...- take my lunch to work for 22 working days until I my next pay day (25th Dec!)
- Pay an extra £100 from my Virgin CC from money generated or left over from my salary at the end of Dec
- Ebay five items from the pile in my spare room
- I will use the pounds in my sealed pot to pay for ingredients for my planned edible, homemade & frugal Xmas presents for friends and family (I think I'll have about £50 but I haven't opened it yet, so I might have an unpleasant surprise)
- Use my Morrison's saving stamps to pay for Xmas food for myself & DH (approx £50) as we're staying at home
Hmm, I feel a little brighter now that I have written all that down...
I also have approx £50 in my Paypal account, however I want to build that up to pay directly to debt at the end of December.
Think I need to print this out and sellotape it to my eyelids..

Good Luck kutat, December is such a tough month to get through there are always unforeseen expenses over in my house, so i'm paying extra attention to spends as well this month! Do you not pay for food, council tax or gas/elec ?0
-
Thanks DFW321 - DH pays for weekly food shop & council tax and gas/elec both come out of 'mortgage account' so I don't count them separately
I'm so frustrated with myself, I go through phases of doing really well with my money, then I just get stressed by work & too distracted by it, then I go off the rails... :mad:
Fingers crossed for a good decemberXmas 2016 #67 £0/£365
