  • Well done on your NSD's that's good work!

Sorry to hear you failed your exam, do you get to re-take it?

  • Hi LMD - yes I can retake it but I'm feeling completely disillusioned with the organisation to be honest. I'm going to take some time away from that particular idea & try to figure out how I want to go forward... just want to get back to enjoying life for a little bit without feeling quite so stressed!

    How are things with you?

  • Have been thinking about Christmas... scarey I know!

I have a really big family, with lots of nieces & nephews and every year, even if I budget for £10 each, I still run into hundreds of pounds, and that includes only buying for the children

I really don't want to do that this year, soo I have been researching cheap food gifts, and think that maybe I could manage to make some simple chocolate tiffin thing and buy some cheap bags to give as gifts

I've no idea how this will go down with the family, but really I don't think I really care! I'm kinda hoping that they will understand...

  • I'm ok thanks, missed my diary update yesterday as I have a rotten cold so headed straight to bed :(

Christmas will soon be here, you're right. I think home made chocs and baked goods would be lovely :) especially if you have a lot to buy for, I am sure they will understand.

Last year I managed to get the kids a lot of bargains through the 'grabbit' thread, it's worth keeping an eye on that ;)

  • Ooh get well soon LMD - there seems to be loads of bugs around at the mo

I'll go & have a search for the 'grabbit' thread, thanks

    Todays report is as follows:

    Mon 23rd Sept - NSD
    Tues 24th Sept - NSD
    Wed 25th Sept - NSD
    Thurs 26th Sept - NSD :j

I took sandwiches to work, however I got paid yesterday so filled up the little car with petrol, but I made sure that I went to the closest and cheapest garage which was Morrissons at 131.9 :money: rather than my usual trick of getting below the red & having to go to the closest, most expensive garage

Aiming for another NSD tomorrow... don't think I've ever managed 5 in a row before!!

  • I joined the 'The Super-Duper September NSD Challenge' to keep me focused... You basically decide the rules of what is included as a 'spend' do I don't include direct debits and I don't include my 'payment a day' challenge payment. Just unnecessary spends so I have really cut back, for example I still have £80 in the bank and I get paid on Monday...

    That rarely happens!

    You should try it
