Glad this week has started a little better for you :T I had to laugh at you buying the toolbox though :rotfl: this is exactly the sort of random purchase I would get too :rotfl:
Well done on all the extra money from teaching :T You'll be debt free and saving for the horse box before you know it :j0 -
LOL, yes DFW321, I have no idea how I managed to find myself angry in B&Q on Saturday but hey, at least I was organised & angry...
Thanks for the encouragement - it is very surreal to be paying money to CCs, I feel all floaty & grown up!

Good day out yesterday with students, and only managed to spend the following:
- Lunch £5.50
- Entry ticket £16 (will claim back on expenses at work)
- Coffee £2.20
I did let myself down by buying lunch, but I genuinely ran out of time to make some (Note to Self - must become more organised)
I was very philosophical yesterday - made a Five Year Plan, broken it down into a One Year Plan, and now just need to mull everything over & transfer to a Monthly Plan - I will make happy progress with my life
MSE Plan for today: :money:- List at least one item on Ebay
- Package get ready to post book already sold & chase up payment for the other one
- Teach one lesson tonight
- Complete one online survey

failed miserably
I'm bloomin knackered tonight - spent £21 on a lesson, but had a fab time & it cheered me up no end
money well spent I think!
Just been playing on the Nectar site now that my card has come through - discovered Adpoints thing, so now have watched a few & got 108 extra points. Not quite sure what they've worth, but will keep plodding along
I'm working at a show all day tomorrow, so no chance to catch up on marking, do any teaching or really any specific money saving, but I will take sandwiches with me so I don't spend any more than is absolutely necessary.... i.e. coffee

I went AWOL & fell off the wagon & went back to old ways

Tonight, I have reassessed the situation & got my spending diary back up-to-date & calculated budgets for June. Stupid sense of relief on finding that I have got enough money to cover basic outgoings & bills, but very little left over & nothing in budget to cover our anniversary weekend away to Chester this Friday
I'm so disappointed that I've lost focus for 2 weeks! It's no excuse but work has been horrendously busy & has taken up all of my time. DH has also been having a nightmare time at work since he reported his shop manager for threatening, abusive & intimidating behaviour to his staff. Said manager has now resigned but has since been parking outside our house & generally being loosely intimidating. DH is in the process of speaking to the Police tomorrow. DH is very down & stressed.
Ho hum, I guess these things happen to test your mettle... hoping for a vaguely relaxing time away & will be doing my best to divert DH's thoughts away from work. Ooh & he wants to leave (he's on annual leave this week). Have told him that he can  as long as he finds another job asap.
UPdates on the clearing debt plan - I've just updated my signature with the £90 I paid off my Virgin CC on 21st May. Have since use said card to purchase some work clothes as my trousers really don't fit to the point of giving me tummy ache
I'm so disappointed with myself. Still I have another £95 cash to pay into the bank which will go towards this CC tomorrow
Feeling I need to refocus on this debt-busting mission. I have segregated my remaining salary into virtual pots for June, so should be covered for horse & petrol etc. Still scared I've forgotten something.... it's going to be a close one!

Hellooooo - are you still out there??????

Fell off the financial-moneysavingexpert-wagon BIG TIME

I have broken my habit of keeping a spending diary sometime back in July & consquently have undone any of the good work I had done previously. I fall back into burying my head in the sand far too quickly.
Sooo I have decided that as we have started a new month, I will begin writing down everything I spend again. I'll update my diary later on tonight with bank DDs etc so I know exactly what has gone where & what remains to be paid.
I get paid on 25th of Sept so I have precisley 3.5 weeks to cover.
Hmmph ONWARDS! I will get my financial situation sorted (even if it takes a while)
SEPT GOAL = Pay an £100 to CC1
SEPT LIST OF OUTSTANDING JOBS- Sort huge crack in windscreen of car 1
- Sort boot lock for car 1
- Car 1 tax due end Sept (need to also check ins renewal date as I can't remember!)
- Full service for car 2
- Renew Instructors ins as has run out

I have made lunch to bring to work though, so I guess that's somethingXmas 2016 #67 £0/£365

Welcome back on the MSE Wagon... Duly subscribed to your diary and hope to offer support along the way.
Try and stay positive and if you do have a wobble (which we all do now and again) as long as you recognise it and shift your focus back to MSE ways you will be fine!
Wishing you lots of luck, keep on with that spend diary

Hi KUTAT,
Well done on the good start and I understand it's hard to keep your foot on the gas all the time but remember why you want to pay off your debts, so you can have a family and a bigger house
Have you completed a statement of affairs?
http://www.stoozing.com/calculator/soa.php
It might help you (and others) to see where you can make savings which can go towards your debts. For example, I used to pay £35 a month to Virgin for tv and internet and have reduced that to £22 by limiting the tv package.
Good luck!0 -
Thanks LMD & Jox! I will do my very best!I'm totally terrified by SOA - every month I run VERY close to the bone...
Have tonight updated spending diary & checked online banking... Frightening but should cover all DD commitments for the month
Check in tomorrow
Thanks for the support guys
