just a MSE tip but unless you have a small room or realy need a telly now i would recon you are best waiting for the tech to settle down. i purposfully bought a second hand sony 44" rear projector (£280) because every generation of panels gets better and cheaper. the prices of displays have dropped more than i paid for my telly and when i do buy its likely the new panels will have better quality outputs, and likely higher resolutions.
fyi if anyone cares ebuyer were punting 42" lcds for 599, when you think you could pay that kind of cash for a 15" screen a few years back it just shows how much of this tech is financing the r&d costs.0 -
That Maxim TV's has also got a 32" Bush iDTV for £150! If the company is genuine and the item is brand new, that's an amazing deal. I'm kinda tempted to get it on the CC as IIRC I'd be covered if this deal did turn out to be too good to be true.
What are the thoughts of other MSE-ers?0 -

Just to point out though that its not HD ready. However its still good value considering 15" LCD's were this price not long ago.

Was searching on play.com for "40" HD ready samsung" and they have a few new ones listed as coming out on 21/05/2007, surley this is going to push the price of the older models down could only see 1 32" model coming out at this time from Samsung though!! I could be wrong but if they are bringing out new models soon this could bring prices down further!0

Every single order I have ever had with Pixmania has been an absolute shambles. They are some of the most incompetent people I have ever come across.
The deals are great if nothing goes wrong with the product (like mine did) but you are stuffed if things go pete tong.
