Never knew there was a recall, so would have eaten them. Probably would have eaten them even if did know though.

They wouldn't have even lasted that long with me :p

I do agree OP £2 seems stingy but I also think you can definitely get a multipack of 9 for less than £2 so techically you are getting like 9 free bars :)

I guess it's not about my loss but rather Kit Kats loss to be honest but I suppose that like most respondents if you expect the minimum you will never be disappointed will you!

Really a multipack of Kit Kat chunky for less than £2 that is good.

If you're really that aggrieved, then why don't you take them to court for your extra compensation, which you clearly need to combat the mental anguish their recall has caused you?

The whole situation has clearly had a devastating effect on your life.

wellused - did you send them back because you felt you should/thought you had to, or did you send them back purely and only in the hope of getting some compensation?

I'm just trying to work out if you were expecting anything at all when you put them in the post.

Why would anyone expect more than the minimum? You have suffered no loss.Heck,I wouldn't even have bothered.

Life is too short to waste time trying to needlessly get money out of companies. If I lived thinking I should I'd consider myself a very sad individual.

Lighten up.There are better things to do.

Well obviously by quoting £10 as a fair sum I was being way too ambitious but it was worth getting other peoples opinions on the subject. It did surprise me somewhat to find so many people who would have been glad to get anything for their trouble and who are so concerned to stand up for big business, or maybe I just hit unlucky and found a load of people who work as call handlers in complaints departments.

Or just cannot get that worked up about 2 quids worth of chocolate bars, but if they did take the trouble to return them would not be out of pocket.
