I've just won £40 on a scratchcard :j. My mum put a couple in my birthday card, but I only won £1 on one of them, so told her to get me another. She just remembered to give it to me and it was worth £40
.
Now if the lettings agent could just put me out of my misery.....

Well done on the win
Hope the letting agents call soon x0 -
AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excuse me whilst I scream. Just called the letting agent and they haven't even started to process the credit check forms as they haven't received them. The woman I've been dealing with was on leave last week and I spoke to the woman who deals with processing the forms and she was apparently asking around in the office to see if anyone had received my paperwork - did she not think about calling me to ask if I had sent them??
So now it looks like I'm going to have to fill those damn forms out again and wait another couple of weeks. :mad:0 -
Phew, they have found them. They were in a cupboard apparently!! Doesn't fill me with confidence about their organisational skills!!
I should hear back within 3 working days.

They've contacted OH's boss and my current letting agent............
Watch this space!!

Blimey, aren't all letting agents money grabbing sods!! I've just had to pay £30 to my current one so they will give a reference. Terrible. At least they have done it though.
I just want them to say 'yes, you have passed and the flat is yours'. OH's boss did his reference yesterday.
Can't be much longer now surely.

Okay, this is seriously starting to stress me out now. I just want to know if we have the flat or not!! :wall:
I called the woman an hour ago and she has to 'look into it' and get back to me. I really want an answer today, as I can't handle a 3 day weekend not knowing
On another note, I've got someone hopefully buying our bookcase in an hour or so. That will push up the flat fund to £100.

Hope they get back to you today xx0

Thank you - still no call back though
Sold the bookcase, so flat fund is up to £100. We've decided to aim to save for the whole amount that we will need to pay out when we move in. It's nearly £2k, so I want to know that we will have the money there ready to go. This won't just be from selling stuff, but also from extra bits of work and just putting aside £10 here and there.
Also ordered a £15 Amazon voucher today.

Waiting for news (whatever its about) is just the most stressful thing:(. I really feel for you.
Keeping everything crossed for you and OH.
Well done on the flat fund so far, seems to be growing nicely and you said before that although OH wants to sell all the furniture etc you'd rather wait until you know for definite that you definitely have somewhere permanent to move to. Seems the best plan.
Whatever you choose to do this weekend I hope the sun shines on you.
Take care0
