Hi everyone - thank you for all the birthday wishes
.
Just got back from the hospital after being there for 6 hours. I'm shattered now. I narrowly avoided being admitted for a fortnight. My lung function and weight are both down, so the doctor was trying to use that as an excuse to admit me. When they did the tests, I hadn't eaten for nearly 15 hours, so I felt weak and obviously had nothing inside of me. So those results weren't a fair picture of my health. Plus I'm still getting over my chest infection.
They have been wanting to admit me since I got to that hospital. When I'm ill and need admitting then that's fine, but I'm not going to allow it when it's unnecessary. So I told the doctor where to go and I have to go back on 29th May.
Iron Man 3 was good, much better than Iron Man 2.

How silly of the hospital to starve you and then say ooo you aren't very well

Hope though you are resting etc. whilst making loads of money.
How long till you move?

Well done, Emz, for standing your ground despite the Doc having other ideas:beer:. No wonder your weight was down after all the recent stress of being forced to move home.(although this is probably a good thing in retrospect) and the visit of OH's awful parents. Plus, if you are anything like me, a cold/chest infection makes me lose all interest in food and eating properly. Now that you have found a lovely new home and OH's parents have made their last visit for a while:j and you are feeling better physically you'll soon be in better shape when you see the Doc next time.
I worry that you maybe did too much helping your Mum with your sister's children, especially when you weren't well yourself. It's surprising how these infections can take it out of you. I usually shrug things off fairly quickly myself but this recent cough/cold/chest infection I've had has dragged on and on and left me feeling totally lacking in energy. Goodness knows how it affected you with your CF.
Any news on the credit checks for the flat yet? That must be something else contributing to your stress levels.
Try to have a peaceful weekend with plenty of 'you' time.
A very belated 'Happy birthday' to you too.0 -
Morning
Thanks GRC, Buffy and CBC for the birthday wishes
Still no word on the checks on the flat. I emailed the woman dealing with it on Thursday, but she hasn't replied which makes me think maybe she wasn't there last week. Hopefully I'll hear from her tomorrow. We still don't have a firm moving date, but I have to be out of here by 5th July and I think we can move into the new place on 18/19th July.
OH took me to Basingstoke yesterday so I could spend some of my birthday money in Jane Norman. I got this:

and this:

The dress is for a wedding we are going to in September. I got 25% off it too, so I've still got some birthday money left.
Off round my mum's in an hour or so - better get my meds done. Be back later with some plans for May.

8 days?. When I got checked for this flat, it was done within the day. I guess that's why I didn't think it would take that long.
We did think about going private, but there is so much more choice when you go with an agency. I think it would have taken much longer to find somewhere decent with a private rent.

Hmm, I was going to set myself some targets for May, but I think I need to put my health first instead. I've got the hospital on 29th May, so it's imperative that I get my weight and lung function up before then.
So, my goals for May are:- Get my weight up to 8st 7lbs at least
- Do at least 20 minutes a day on my dance game to try and improve my fitness
- Start walking my niece to school again (weather permitting - been driving her recently)
- Do all my meds religously (I'm pretty good at this, but I miss the odd inhaler/nebuliser - never my tablets though).
My earnings and other things (flat fund and Amazon vouchers) will have to fit in around my health. I need to avoid staying in that horrible hospital at all costs!!

Chased up my insurance company about the accident last year. My witness has finally sent his form back, so hopefully it will get sorted sooner rather than later. Before I move hopefully. That'll teach my neighbour to be a crafty little sod!
Just done 30 minutes on the Wii, nebuliser also done, just need to take my medication now.
My mum and sister are taking me out for a meal at lunch in lieu of a birthday meal. I think we're going to Toby Carvery. Love a good roast dinner.
