Someone posts up the terms and cons straight after posting a comp.
Are they Bumping, or is it a relevent post? It could be construed that they are trying to gain more thanks. as they could easily include the t&c's in the OP.0 -

Good question; I often wonder about this when the same person does two posts instead of one. It could be they want to post the comp fist and then rather than edit do another post.
I do appreciate it when the T&C are posted with relevant bits highlighted but then maybe I'm being lazy.Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

To me MSE's rules on bumping are absolutely clear. Do not bump a post for the sake of it.
So if you're adding T&C's (with good intentions) you are providing additional relevant info. I can't believe that anyone really posts just to get more thanks? Do they?:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
I also comp from main board and work my way back to where I left off last time but I can't see why bumping causes such a problem if you comp that way.
When i've worked my way back, if I see a ticked/crossed thread that has no other replies then that's where I know i'm finished and go back to the start again, if it has replies then there may be newer comps after it and it only takes a few seconds to check.
Hardly makes any difference to me but it clearly makes a difference whether that it is needing to flick through 5 or 6 pages of posts instead of 2 or 3 if you are working from the front or however you sort them having to glance at extra posts on the comp post when you are entering in case anything useful has been added.0 -

But why if you are posting the comp post the T&C as a separate post?Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

But why if you are posting the comp post the T&C as a separate post?
I may well have done this myself in the past, and the reason being because a) adding the T&C's is an after thought b) not everyone wants to wade through 27 lines of dull T&C's in the first post so I add minimum info in the first post and the T&C's as an additional post.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

If the T&C's are long winded then I post them in another post rather than 'cluttering' the main competition post - which I'm sure is why many others do too.
It is also to help those people who like to thank or use the green/red tick , who then don't have to scroll miles down the page before they get to the thanks/tick buttons. The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0
