Remember as well that he will be forever on licence if he is released i.e one step out of line and its back to prison he goes.

Same for the wife and other idiot........although they can be let out after 8 1/2 yrs for the remainder of their sentence they do face going back to prison if they step out of line

Not quite the same for the wife and friend - once they've done their 17 years, either all in prison or partly on Licence, then they're done, that's it. Mick can be recalled to prison until he's 100 (although hopefully he'll be long gone by then).

I have read somewhere in all the stuff written about them that after 17 kids Mick had the snip (pity help the doc who had to handle that pox infected bell end :eek:) so no more kids for him, and lets hope that Mairaed will be past child bearing age when she's released (I'm not sure how old she is).

Mairead is only 32 so effectively she could still be of child bearing age when she is released.

I would think (hope) that she will have support to avoid another relationship like the last one... And they'll be on the lookout for her trying to have babies to replace her lost children (and I do believe she is greiving for them)

And I'm fairly sure SS would be on very very close watch of her in any pregnancy, they'd be monitored.

If she ever did get pregnant, she would never be able to keep the child. They would be removed at birth.

Why do you think she would?

She was unable to protect her children, even in the light of significant danger, leading her to be found guilty of their manslaughter. I can't imagine that she would ever be able to have children in her care again.

There was a fly on the wall style documentary on a while back where they followed around various social care teams. It was astonishing what some of those "parents" were allowed to get away with. The teams were powerless to do anything in much of a hurry presumably because it would be a breach of the parents human rights or other such nonsense.

I have no doubt Mairead would be allowed to keep her baby because of some misguided notion that prison rehabilitates people and mothers know best. If I had my way she would be prevented from having children in her care, and from having any more. There are folks in the world who would give anything to have just one baby, this filthy piece of garbage stood by while 6 of hers burned.

You would have to question the mentality of any man who would even think about getting involved with her, after all she has done. No man in their right mind would choose her to be the mother of their children.
