    morning all

beg, how about stitching a panel of evenweave onto the cushion to make it more durable, or backing it with a plain sheeting or cotton fabric.

winniepooh, hope you are well and things are settling down. (mainly hoping that a certain person has seen the error of their ways and come round to the fact we all need 'me time' )

Things are still the same im afraid so still no stitching for me. But I still love to see everyone's work
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

  • Chicky, sorry it ended up in the bin :(
Anyone on there travels found any nice 30th brirthday kits? I made my sister a hand designed name plaque for her 18th and she has asked for something for her 30th :o It has to be something quite quick/small. After googling I can't find anything suitable  Thanks

Haven't stitched for a while as I have infected my thumb :( But I have decided on this for my sister, however need to design/work out a way to add in the message. I am thinking around the outside? Unsure of what colour it will be, prob purple as thats the colour of her new bedroom.

You're not alone there. My husband laughs at the amount of scraps of paper I have floating about with all my little reminders on :o
I hope you can relax the rest of the week as planned and good luck with the dress-making.

I'm sorry I have to say it......... if you have Windows 7...... Sticky notes sticky notes sticky notes.

I am obsessed to the point of adiction with them :rotfl:

  • I've downloaded a diary to my kindle, all my reminders are on there for each day and then I have 6 or 7 to do lists on there as well!

I found out yesterday that the two local libraries here have quite a few cross stitch books! I hadn't even thought to look there before then. I haven't had a chance to stop by to see what they actually have in stock (and to scout out where they are in the library), but their website said that they had quite a few in stock. Next time I head into town, I'll definitely be checking into it.

    off topic.... hope thats ok...

was checking my personal e-mail account at work earlier and opened an e-mail which turned out to be spam.

I didn't click the link in the e-mail so I think my account will not start sending out spam (of course i may be wrong re this - feel free to correct me!) but meanwhile, what about the sender of the e-mail. they didn't send it and I don't really understand how it all works but its come from their e-mail address. do they need to change their password (seems a sensible thing to do to me) but is it serious enough to warrant closing their account? Like I say, I don't really understand how these things work but the (supposed) sender is worried about the security of their e-mail account now.
  • Thanks b-e-g. Cancelled subscription this afternoon and have had it all confirmed in email also cancelled direct debit that had been set up. Going to order another 5 for £5 but have them sent to my mums;)

Thanks Mrs. MP - I was thinking of backing it (thought it would help in trying to neaten it up a bit). Had a quick look at the threads to see what I would have to get - had seven out of the eleven needed so that wasn't too bad. :)

PaP - ouch thumb sounds painful. Hope it gets better soon. Love sis's card btw.

mrs.mp - looking forward to seeing tinks :)

Mrs. TM - our library has really really old cross stitch books - nothing much to tempt unfortunately. :(

Bobbis Mummy - I have just kept getting new subscriptions delivered to my home address - hadn't thought about sending them to Mum's. Its usually worked - bet I've bloomin well jinksed it now :rotfl:

Oh forgot to say I stitched the little cover kit from WOXS (rabbit with red balloon) and stitched '65' in silver inside the balloon for friends birthday next month. Will post a piccy when I get around to making it up.

Managed a bit more of SB tonight - reward to self for gym visit this morning :p

    Take care everyone
