I just found this in my basket @ HAED and it seems I have bought and paid for it too, dunno how that happened :rotfl: It will be going on the '14 projects in 2014' list or even '15 in 2015' list :rotfl:

    Evening all

Tried waste canvas today on one of the little felt purses/bags - quite hard work but looks ok for a first attempt. Will show picture soon.

Thought about doing some teacher cards for my craft fair stall but struggling to find any charts. Can anyone here help please?

Love the lion but hate to say it - I'm not keen on HAED designs myself!

If anyone wants to 'risk' looking, they do have a couple of lovely free charts, left hand side there is a tab saying free charts. Just printed off a lovely Christmas one :D

Soulie I've just been browsing the cat designs. In particular I like Curious Nose, Megatab Mintaka and the Snowman (that one is probably my favourite although I'm not keen on the border and I also like Tabby the Beggar although I haven't had a proper look/browse. (I'm sure I would find more I liked)

I've just been looking at the instructions again though and that's put me off :rotfl: I've never stitched a HAED. Out of interest, a couple of the designs look as good as photos. what [does the stitcher do] to get that effect? sorry for the daft question... (I hope it makes sense)

ETA is it as simple that every square is stitched and that you should be using the smallest material your eyes will put up with ? (i.e 28 count stitching one over one ?)

Finally finished this (sorry that it's so blurry, phone's camera hates me at the moment):

I also added a little whale to one of the blank vests (DH picked out this one):

I'm currently working on a tank top for me with two little birds and some heart flowers. I'm also thinking about making a small piece for my brother in law and his wife. They have a kitten/cat and he's a bit nuts. They had something like this story play out last night:

So what I'm wanting to make them is something akin to this:

Sorry for all of the pics! And looking back at the things I've completed, I think I need to buy an iron...

Most of the HAED's I have say to stitch on 25 count, which I will do, some people use 16 or 18 count though but the finished product will be MASSIVE :rotfl:
You should register with the site as they have a wishlist function, so it's easier to find the ones you like again.

I'm stitching mine on 18 count aida and yup, it's going to be 40 inches  square!

I don't think my eyes would stand up to 25 count linen one over one :rotfl:
