I really love cross stitch I find it very relaxing. Ive done no craft work all day and im finding it extremely upsetting.

Don't you dare get rid of anything. We all need outlets in life to make us sane - make us - us. My late husband - much as I loved him - I had to give up things for him, my career, my captaincy in the Girl Guides, doing volunteer for the St Andrews ambulance, seeing friends on a regular basis - I had to give them all up to stay at home and look after him full time 24/7. I don't regret giving them up as I loved my husband but sometimes I look back and think - I would of had my 25 year service badge if I stayed, maybe made commissioner in the Guides but this all what ifs.

I know in life you do have to give up things but cross stitch is proven to help in life - helps you relax as you said - I find it very relaxing - my work and my life can be quite stressful and when I cross stitch I go into a bubble and no one can disturb me while I am in it.

Please think very carefully about this - I was talking about it to my "new" hubby and he says "you wouldn't make me give up my games" because like his games our stitching is our outlets.

Sorry for going on - I can't stand by and say nothing. You know we are all here for you - ask him is there anything he would like stitched for the wall - you can stitch anything!

    Keep well

Winnie - is there anywhere secure that you can keep it for a while (if not, I'm sure the nearest one of us would keep it for you) Don't give everything away from the sake of one argument - and a man!

thinking of you and sending hugs x

Morning all. Im getting rid of all my cross stitch bits and bobs free to a good home. I'll post piccies probably tomorrow evening.

I would be happy to take some off your hands if you are sure, as I stitch a lot for charity so anything would be a great help. Fell free to PM me, if you are sure and have some stuff left.

ETA. Just saw your posting, so please ignore this one, I should have continued reading lol
