I will still have them on the go next Spring!! Can't seem to focus on just one project though. Does anyone else have this??

    HAve a great day everyone

I am not very good at sticking with one project so have lots and lots of half finished items. I'm not sure why this is? I suppose in some instances I'm lazy when stitching and don't devote the utmost care to it so by the time its just the back stitch left, I've made such a mess of the general stitching that it would be near on impossible to make a half decent job of the back stitch so the design never gets finished. I think I also get distracted by other designs. I would like to have a stitchy project at work for those opportune lunchtime stitchy moments but then I get aggitated that I can't stitch it/continue stitching with it when I get home so often projects commute back and forth to work with me without me ever stitching anything ! I think time is a major factor.

Finally finished the little duckie onesie I worked on over the weekend. I've also determined that any time I'm using a bit of aida instead of waste, I need to stitch looser!

I haven't decided if I need to add interfacing or not. The ends are covered with other stitches, there are no loose threads, and it's all soft.

Anyway, here's a photo of the tiny thing (it's on a newborn onesie):

    Hi ladies.

b_e_g. Sleeping Beauty is coming along great! Going to be amazing when finished and framed.

Sweetcarer. Nice SH heart finish. Fingers crossed you get an interview.

Winnie. re lighting. I recently bought a Jansjo LED clamp spotlight from Ikea that I can clip to my stand when stitching and it's brilliant. I usually stitch by the light of the spotlight that is in the ceiling above me but it can be harsh when I have a headache threatening, the LED light is much better for those times.
If the clip on style is no good they also do a floor standing version. Both of these have bendy 'necks' so the light bulb bit can be manouvered to where you want it when stitching.

MrsTM. The duck vest is so cute!

    As for me.
I got some stitching done yesterday, yay! :D Had to keep sitting up straight now and then as my back started to niggle a little bit but on the whole it was fine.
Didn't realise how much I had missed it till I got going.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Mrs.TM - little duck is really cute.

Shelly - great to hear that you're managing to stitch - hope your back keeps on improving.

little duck is lovely mrs_t_m. is she done in pearly type thread??

sleeping beauty is coming along well too.

smallest boy naped (ok didn't nap but had 'chill out' in his room for half hour yesterday so I almost finished catwoman. then he got up and figured it would be very helpful to try and sit on my lap and 'help'.
monday is normally stitchy night but i was so tired i was falling asleep by 9.
tis his birthday tomorrow so doubt i'll get anything done tonight or tomorrow.

i think i've finally figured this huge lap frame malarky - perch it on my knee and stitch - not sure how long before it gets banished to a corner in annoyance tho and i defo won't be doing a 2nd afghan - they can share this one.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
